Ardent Defender maximum absorb
Hey, first topic! I apologize if this is in the wrong forum. 
While working on heroic V&T, my guild tried to utilize Guardian Spirit for the first blackout thrown out. In 25m, this did not work from what we thought was the outright maximum damage it could absorb, and instead the player died. If Guardian Spirit can be overwhelmed like this, has anybody noticed Defender having a maximum or peak to what it can save a player from?

Guardian spirit only saves you from a killing blow, as long as the hit is a maximum of 200% of your max hp.
AD doesnt work that way, if your lucky enough to get Blackout, use AD to help the raid, its a crappy CD for that fight anyway.

I can confirm, I AD'd through a 2.3 million dmg breath from Occu'thar earlier (don't ask).

Back in Wrath under the older AD, whenever I was in a group that would under dps in H-HoR, AD would always save me from a 1 Million Lich King blow, while killing everyone else.
I'm glad is still does not seem to have a dmg cap. I guess they compensated for that by lowering the residual health from ~30% to 15%.
