is it me or does the stereotypical american parent not want to raise and monitor their child and what they do? everyone needs to tell them whats best for their child. can no one make decisions of their own? apparently not. and this is just one thing. my sister is a kindergarten teacher in one of the lowest income towns in our county and she has some messed up kids. they try to push the blame unto her when really its the parent. /rant

I like how they used RE4 as an example as well.... great game, its a good example for a violent game but I doubt they discussed all the puzzles and problem solving it also has...

Corporal punishment is "physical child abuse" while time outs in the corner are "psychological child abuse" and in fact, punishments in general are "emotional child abuse." The proper way to raise children is to treat them like they have the mental, emotional, and psychological maturity of a 35 year old. Explain to them they are wrong, do not convey any emotions if they aren't outright approval, and make sure to use big words.

And yeah, somewhere along the line, "discipline" became "child abuse". So now not only are parents unwilling to discipline their children, they're shit-scared of the consequences of doing so. I'm just glad that the court saw just how damn silly this proposed ban was, and put an early kybosh on it.
