I found The final battle from Excalibur. Not the best transfer but Lancelot is the shit.

If possible, you should check the whole episode of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_55pRyH_9yU
It explains the difference between movie/tv fencing and what fencing was actually like IRL.

The Rob Roy duel is I think one of the best depictions of actual bladed combat.

Some of these work pretty well. http://arrestedwesteros.tumblr.com/ I've finished the first book and am going to get the second today. I don't subscribe to cable so it will be a while before I see the show.

I think the casting is spot on! Although I am a big fan of Peter Dinklage (Tyrion) I really don't think he's gonna steal the scenes he's in. They have built an amazing cast around him; that I think can hold their own.
My one and only gripe about the show is Khal Drogo. He's way too pretty to be some gritty barbarian, again just my opinion. I loved the show!
I haven't read the book so I am not sure if he is a good fit but I am a fan of his stuff. He was in Stargate Atlantis and he is also playing Conan...funny he seems to always fall into the barbaric roles.
And OMG Peter Dinklage (Tyrion) he look sooo different as a blonde...as soon as I saw him with dark hair I remembered how many shows/movies I've seen him in.

Re: Game of Thrones
I love this series or however you define what HBO is doing to it. My hatered for the Lanisters grows with every scene. I also love the suspense that the end of every episode leaves me in.
A few things:
Dany - There is some very slow charcter devolopment going on but I love how the actor is playing it.
Is it me or does it seem like the WHOLE realm is against the Starks? It seems like they are a pretty noble and get shit on for it.
Does Tyroin's journey home remind you of the Billy Goats Gruff? But instead of riddles he has to promise gold and weapons...lol

Re: Game of Thrones
Dany and Tyrion have been my favs in the book and by the looks of it they're more than shaping up to continue the tradition. I'm not sure I even like any of the Starks except Arya, they're all noble to the point of being utterly predictable for their enemies.

Syrio was so hammy which is what made him so fun.
And Tyrion continues being the best character around.
