Bloodlord's Protector vs. Soul Blade

I have done some searching for some number crunching between reforged and optimized Soul Blade vs reforged and optimized BP.

MrRobot BiS list puts BP ahead, but when you optimize, you actually get more mitigation with SB.

The topics I've seen say BP is a little better, but I'm not buying it.

They're both pretty decent weapons. Just use whichever one you can get your hands on first and hold out for a Mace of Acrid Death or Fang of Twilight.

If you don't have a choice, choose whichever one you come across.
If you do have a choice, consider what you need more of, a bit extra dps/hit/str/stam/mastery, or more pure avoidance?
