So, warriors are wearing plate, while paladins are wearing something that appears to be cloth...
The new view on MMO-Champ made the pally set look a tiny bit better, but still.. (rolling need on warrior offset gear commencing)

That said, I prefer the warrior look to the paladin look. I've always hated tanking in a skirt - "What if I trip over the hem?!"
