[25] Magmaw H- instakill during mangle?

So I was the chewing gum for magmaw during our heroic attempts.

Well cooldowns and everything close to full health, then I just died with 160k+ or more. Log didn´t record anything, just health 165k, died.
So I wondered what it could be, I activated 50% cd and still just dead.

So wondered what this is.

Chains weren't put down fast enough. If it goes on too long, Magmaw swallows :P

Was it at the start of mangle or at the end?

More at the end. his head was already pinned down, so I thought I would leave the worm any second, now.

Yeah already thought it´s some time based stuff. What I found a bit weird was that there were times my cooldowns already ran out and he killed me via damage instead of instakill swallow. Looked like he ripped free more or less. Does this hapen when only one chain is in place?
So the only prevention is faster application of chains? But he was already pinned down. Lag issues perhaps, s that he only apperars pinned or so? It was patch day in europe and quite a lot behaved weird.

When you gain a debuff, if that debuff runs out you are dead no matter what. If only 1 chain gets put down he will break free from it. 2 chains need to be put down asap within 1-2 seconds of eachother max. From what you said it looks like there is a problem with the chains getting put down fast enough and at the same time

On Tuesday there was an issue with the 2nd person to go up on his back not being able to throw chains. We got through it with liberal use of battle res, but it may or may not be fixed yet. Definitely dying to bad chain usage though (whether caused by the bug or not).

We still had problems with this tonight. Several people reported that it took multiple times and dumping the targeting recticle in different areas for the chain to actually drop. Our healers, boomy and DKs noted similar problems with the targeted AOE spells.

We encountered similar problems this week. Once it took almost 2 minutes to chain Magmaw down: it just kept breaking free from one chain or something. Kind of fun though except for the poor off-tank.

Yeah there is a problem chaining the guy. Hope it´s fixed or will be fixed soon. The Dk grabbing the worms also had quite a lot of problems with his D&D. And if everything worked out ok for him, the worm was the problem or both things atthe same time. Was not funny.

We are currently working on him and well seems that quite a few people signed off as long as the bug exists.

Are the issues with the chain still live after this hotfix that went live this thursday? We gave up due to it being buggy as hell for us on wednesday.
