psp game. Basically Parasite Eve 3. While the game is good, I don't much like the direction they went with most of the developments (you can only really tell it's a continuation of the parasite eve series because of the characters involved) and the ending. Odds are this dichotomy will only get solved when the idea that it's not really the same line of games sink.
sorry, I heard of parasite eve but never played it. most of the games that I know of was me sitting on the living room of the share house and watching others play them lol but it does sound like a bit of a let down.
All three games are great and I recommend them. The first two are for the original Playstation.
I also recommend the original book, if you aren't turned off by "medicine porn": the author is excruciatingly detailed on the surgery scenes, and actually provides a dictionary of technical terms he used in the story. You'll never think of kidneys the same way after reading it.
The first game's story captures the book's feel best, the second is creepy in an "umbrella corp" fashion and the third is...something.

I liked the first game, never really got into the second one. No idea why though.

I bought a playstation 3 while in the shared house but didn't play it, I would mostly sit on the living room and watch the others play the games. I remember it because such a routine that one of the guys couldn't sleep went to play the playstation but before he went to the living room he knocked on my door so I would go watch him finish the game lol
Edit: i left them the playstation 3 when I moved back to my house.

Now that's an unusual thing to be into. I could never take it on my own... either I'm playing or I'm not participating in the game.

Oh, that's normal. I usually start a game in the hardest possible setting for the first day, so I can vent all my frustration before going back to either "Normal" or "Easy" and enjoying it.
Then if there's any replay value I'll go get myself frustrated at the harder modes anyway :p

Back in college we had a lounge with like 7 or 8 TVs and pretty much every console, and watching others play games was a quite common past-time... I kind of miss that. I also really enjoy in SSF4 how they added the whole "sit in a room and watch others play" thing and also the replay channels... I enjoy the hell out of watching actual good SF players go at it.

I could never finish them myself, but I enjoyed watching my sister playing through Baldur's Gate 1 and 2.
In general, watching good players can be quite interresting.

Some games are fun to watch, I used to watch a lot of SCII replays, and I've watched a few LOL games as well. I can have fun watching friends play FPS or Fighting games, but anything slower can get boring somewhat quickly for me.
