Introduction

MCO is the longest running raidgroup on Shadowsong.EU. We were among the very first to step into Molten Core and never cut down on raiding since then. Most people who join MCO stay in for a very long time - if not forever - so we have a large amount of members that have been around since since day one of MCO. MCO has adapted, evolved and restructured at numerous times, trying to optimise class balance for faster progress and minimal rotation.

Our ambition is to beat every challenge WoW bestows on us and most of our members are people who feel the call of hardcore raiding and are willing to give it 100% but need to balance in Real Life™. We believe it is not necessary to invest 7 days a week to progress when everyone pulls on the same rope. Our experience shows us that we are right with this way. MCO is currently (as far as we know) the most successful 3 day raid week guild on Shadowsong.EU.

To strengthen and extend our raidalliance we are looking for skilled, experienced and dedicated raiders. Even if we are not specifically looking for your class, feel free to apply - exceptional applications are always considered.


Guild Structure

With the release of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm the handling of Raid IDs was changed and some members decided they wanted to raid 10man in future. Also the new guild achievements and perks brought a lot of new things to adapt to. To meet those new circumstances MCO in Cataclysm transformed from a guild with only one 25man raiding team and occasional 10man raiding to a guild beeing a home for the huge variation of raiding facettes Cataclysm offers. We therefore no longer only consist of one raiding but three raiding teams which are equally treated and equally important to the guild: MCO Mousesports (25man), MCO Noodles (10man) and MCO Project XI (10man).

Team PXI is a hardcore team, competing for server 1st kills.
Team Noodles is a semi-hardcore team with less raiding hours but still semicompetative.
Team Mousesports is MCO's 25 man raiding team.

This guild structure is also reflected within the guild management: Whilst we got three administrators, who make sure, that all teams are equally treated and run the administrational part of the guild, each 10man team has one representative and each 25man team has two representative within the guild management.


Requirements

MCO is looking for mature, helpful and friendly raiders only. We have a very nice atmosphere in our alliance and we want to keep that. So griefing, drama, greed, immaturity, selfishness and emotrips are not traits we look for.

We expect you to be very skilled, dedicated and reliable. This means that you come prepared to raids (Flasks, Potions, Shards, Bandages etc), you know the tactics, you are on current state of theorycrafting regarding your class and spec and constantly work to improve yourself. As we are raiding the end-content you will need gear at least on the entry level for that. We will not gear you up from scratch. As a matter of course your gear should be fully gemmed and enchanted with the best gems/enchantments available.


Application Process

All Applicants need to complete the application form at our website. Please check the posts of the three different teams for open spots.

After we receive your application it will be reviewed by the alliance management. This will take approximately a week. Afterwards we will let you know if you are getting deeper into the trial process or if our slots for your class are closed at the moment.

MCO Mousesports (25man) - Introduction

The MCO mousesports team has developed over the first few weeks of cataclysm and has been on the move since their first raid. The normal content has been rapidly cleared and we are currently progressing through the heroics. We maintain an efficient raiding schedual of 3 nights - Tuesday, Thursday & Sunday. Our main aim is to sustain a tight roster with a limited amount of people for minimum rotations and maximum achievable attendance - enjoy our raiding nights & swiftly progress to the end-game content.

MCO Noodles (10man) - Introduction

Team Noodles is one of MCO's two 10 man raiding teams. The team was founded shortly after the release of Cataclysm. As we understand, that our members have work, kids, social life, wife agro etc. we always finish our raids at 23:00. We are competitive progress wise without becoming too much of a hardcore raid group. Raiding is, in the first place, about having fun. Team Noodles is a close team and we try to keep a fun environment for everyone.
