Also, since I asked for sauce it's only fair I provide you with some.
General interest sites usually automatically assume you're talking about cat pee when you ask about cat odor:
http://lifestyle.iloveindia.com/lounge/ ... -2167.html
http://www.getridofthings.com/get-rid-of-cat-urine.htm
"Ask the internet" sites inform you that cats don't normally smell, and point to health problems:
http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Why_do_cats_smell
http://www.ehow.com/about_4587455_cat-odor.html
Wikipedia suggests regular bathing of longhairs but denotes that there is no actual reference or source for the suggestion, and mentions nothing of bathing shorthair cats or cats in general:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cat
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domestic_longhaired_cat
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domestic_shorthaired_cat
And finally (and perhaps most relevantly), sites specializing in cats offer tips and suggestions to bathe your cats, but also denote that the reason you would actually wash them is only if they got themselves into some sort of mess - that their own personal grooming is more than adequate (shorthairs in particular):
http://www.aspca.org/pet-care/cat-care/ ... r-cat.aspx
http://www.thecatsite.com/Care/38/Bathi ... Wills.html

Re: Daily LOLCats :: The OFFICIAL sticky.
I was allergic to cats when I was a kid, so we never had any in the house. When I got out of the military, I stayed with family for a few weeks while I found a job/etc.
There were 10 cats in the house. Litterbox was changed daily and disinfected twice a week (generally just plain replaced once a month as well), and the house was kept scrupulously clean. When I say scrupulously, I mean "dusts the underside of the tables" clean.
Yeah, OCD. Anyway, I digress.
Cats have a scent, just like everything else. It builds up, just like with anything else. Bathing removes said scent. 2+2=Kat.

Io.Draco wrote:Speaking of LoLCats. I was watching my guild's old Illidan kill movie with me as maintank. One thing that struck me ( as I remembered it ) was that the day before ( on the guild's 1 year celebration ) the GM had given me a cat as a prize for a contest we had.
Next day I use that same cat throughout all our Illidan tries.
He dies that night after one month. But that's not all! No sir. After reset and kill, we have THREE tier 6 chest tokens drop for Paladins/Priests/Warlocks. Thing is....ALL those with higher DKP then me, save one holy priest, were not in the raid. So that's how I get my first tier 6 piece ( we really had BAD luck on tier 6 for paladins )
Then we go Hyjal, the same night, and at Azgalor after MONTHS of killing him, we finally get tier 6 gloves for Paladins....which I also take, and if I recall I also got commendation of Kael'Thas sometime between Illidan First kill and reset ( very bad luck on it in the first few days of 2.4 )
Then one month later...Kalecgos dies, still using cat on almost every boss, I get pants from him, while also I was almost decked full in tier 6 from BT/Hyjal by then.
So yeah....you can say it was mere coincidence. Me? Well the first thing I am going to do once I relog is to buy that cat from Netherstorm ( if I recall correctly ) on my Draenei Paladin ASAP.
Amusing, I too used a vanity pet cat during two progression kills in TBC. I used them only on the nights the boss went down! Vashj which was a bit of a brick wall for us, and I think the second was Archimonde!

I always used to raid with Sleepy Willy, as he was the best pet for prot paladins back then. He would sometimes zap critters, which would prevent your Avenger's shield from chaining them a critter instead of the mob you wanted!
Its not much of an advantage, but it is a slight one! Min/Max ftw! :p (Also, the "Get your Willy away from me" jokes are funny on vent.)

this times infinity
i have had pets that were so full of personality i swear they were part human, and i loved them (my puppy dog when i was married)
i have had pets that were brain dead....well i still loved them but he was my ex-wifes dog for a reason.....
breezy (my dog) was so intelligent and had so much personality if she could have talked im sure she could have carried on a conversation with anyone
rowdy (ex's dog) on the other hand... LITERALLY ran into the door/trees/pickup a few too many times, he was brai-ndead as a puppy and it just got worse as he got older

Brekkie:Tanks are like shitty DPS. And healers are like REALLY distracted DPS
Amirya:Why yes, your penis is longer than his because you hit 30k dps in the first 10 seconds. But guess what? That raid boss has a dick bigger than your ego.
Flex:I don't make mistakes. I execute carefully planned strategic group wipes.
Levie:(in /g) It's weird, I have a collar and I dont know where I got it from, Worgen are kinky!
Levie:Drunk Lev goes and does what he pleases just to annoy sober Lev.
