St. Patrick's Day 2011
So what's everyone doing tonight? Local pub for us tonight along with a friend (about a block away... so within stumbling distance!) It's actually been a while since I've been out for St. Patty's Day... my ex wasn't exactly a fan of the pub/drinking scene and last year Invis and I sat in and drank via webcam. Which makes us sound like total alcoholics, but it was sweet at the time.
I always have to laugh how the Irish celebrate this day wayyy less than North America does.
We made a metric ton of clover sugar cookies last weekend and we're still devouring them.

Either Invis fails at geography (possible, I suppose) or he's suggesting that Ireland is coming to liberate their Scottish brethren from English oppression (more likely).
Or it was just a silly joke with no implicit meaning.

It's amateur night, I generally don't go out on drinking holidays. I did want to make something "Irish" for dinner but I have to work late so my bf's making tacos... I also learned that he doesn't like corned beef or cabbage, at which point I threatened to break up with him.
I'll probably just stop off for some beer on the way home and go out drinking tomorrow night, when most people are still home nursing their hangovers.

Last year I was in New York for it visiting my grill friend. We went to the parade (or the back half of it), the sun was shining, birds singing and life was good.
Now I am alone and will be drinking Guinness alone at home until I pass out.
Actually have a date straight from work, then meeting up with my friends later on.

My boyfriend and I will be heading to one of the local Vegas casinos to watch a friend of a friend play in a band tonight.
In the mean time I will be stuck at work sporadically watching the Mobile Alabama Leprechaunvideo.

I'll be flying out to Chicago for a pub crawl. One of the guys I work with is from there, and won't shut up about it, so since we all happen to have the same day off we're "borrowing" a friend's cessna.

Saturday was the big going out day around here for St. Paddy's for the local parade. Good times were had!
Going out tonight with a social organization I joined last year to one of my favorite bars. We have the downstairs of the place reserved for a couple hours. Buffet and drink specials. Gonna be some good times : )
