I had pickled green tomatoes for the first time ever at the farmer's market this weekend. So freaking good!

What's weird is that I had had sour tomatos (that's what my dad called them anyway) since I was a kid and you're saying you only had them this weekend... I never knew they were uncommon. :O

Not available in the US, and while British/Australia people would understand it as a type of "BBQ Sauce" that's a different thing in the US.

If you know what Worcestershire sauce is, then HP sauce is similar, but thicker and a bit more strongly flavoured.

My dad loves that stuff. I think it's pretty common in Canada, but we don't refer to it as BBQ sauce either.

I have seen it in the US but it isn't common. It is in some grocery stores in their "international" section. I have never tried it but I may have to pick some up after reading this.
