Acquired Tastes
I like a lot of food. I also dislike a fair amount. It is human nature. I notice that I tend to like lots of food that many people I know do not.
What sorts of funky flavors do you like that most people might not? For myself, I love salt and vinegar potato chips. In my circle of friends and family, I can't think of anyone that likes them. Oddly enough, I don't care for the taste of vinegar anywhere else, unless its balsamic vinegar.
I hate game meat (deer, elk, etc). I think it just tastes really gamey and nasty but everyone I know around here loves it. (Lots of people hunt around here).

I like Lapsang souchong tea, despite friends and family members unanimously saying that it stinks like cheap Soviet-era ski grease.

Braunschweiger, or just liverwurst in general. Blue Cheese (not in dressing, I eat it with fruit).
I even tried haggis once and enjoyed it.
Conversely, I don't care for raw tomatoes, black olives, or mushrooms.

I have a habit of eating plain lemons. Everytime I tell someone they seem surprised.

That's not weird if you're from Canada. They're sold way more commonly here than they are in the States (if you're from the States that is). Ten/fifteen years ago I couldn't find salt and vingear chips whenever I visited the States. Now, however, it seems they're becoming more prevalent.

I'm in Washington State in the US
We have a local teriyaki / sushi restaurant that I go to frequently and they always bring out bowls of miso soup for everyone as we first sit down and I'm the only one who ever eats it. I have no clue what is in it beyond the tofu squares but it tastes great to me. Somewhat salty, a little "meaty" kinda like a mushroom perhaps. Lots of people I know also dismiss tofu as gross even after I tell them that tofu doesn't really taste like much on its own and tastes like whatever it is cooked in. Perhaps it is a texture thing.

It's weird, I have hated Blue Cheese all of my life. To the point where if I got some in my mouth it would make me nauseous. Then last summer I decided to give it a try on a salad that someone had brought and now I almost like it.
I have never had a hard time finding salt and vinegar chips, maybe they're just more common in the NE. Both Cape Cod and Utz make a decent one.

I love me some Canadian ketchup chips. The ones they make in the US just don't compare. A kid in one of my AP classes in high school used to have them sent to him and then he'd bring them to class. It made him quite popular!

You still can't get vinegar for your french fries in the US. The last time I asked, I was told, I could get Mayo for them.
What am I? A BELGIAN?

You can. They just look at you weirdly and bring you the malt vinegar. Then I say no, I want WHITE vingear. Then they look at me weirdly again and tell me they need to go get the cleaning products in the bathroom. Then they produce a small, plastic cup of white vinegar.
(This isn't made up, this ACTUALLY happened and more than once, might I add.)

Before knowing the pleasures of salt and vinegar chips, the only time I ever came into contact with white vinegar was when coloring easter eggs while growing up

I like both black coffee and espresso, both of which always get me funny looks when I order at Dunkin' Donuts.

Sigh. Once again, hyperbole notification has been failed and points missed.
Yes, I can get vinegar. IF I go and ask for it in a restaurant. At fast food, no. No I can't. And most places won't have white vinegar. It is just such a hassle that, most of the time, it is simply not worth doing.

Miso is just pounded bean paste. Miso soup is diluted bean paste, green onions/shalottes, tofu, and occasionally seaweed, depending on where you get it. And it's delicious.
I've eaten some incredibly weird and strange things. Most of them, I'd eat again. Some of them I'd have to either be starving (lion meat is gamy as hell), or have to forget what it was I was eating (brains are good, plus nobody looks at you funny if you do a zombie impression while eating them).
One thing that's always made me absolutely nauseous is the ham & cheese omelette MRE. Luckily, I had a guy in my unit who absolutely LOVED that shit and would trade me anything he had for it. Thankfully, they redo the menus on the MREs fairly frequently.
