Lifebound Alchemist Stone
At the moment my Paladin is a miner/jc i was thinking about dropping mining for alchemist to make some gold and make the [Lifebound Alchemist Stone] . Then i remembered that i get the Toughness buff from mining that increases my stamina. Is the toughness buff worth it or can i drop it for the crafted trinket? at the moment i have the pvp mastery trinket Impatience of Youth and [Leaden Despair] 427 stamina trinket.

Dropping and re-leveling an entire skill for a few stamina points only matters to the most obsessive of the hard-core raiders. What else will alchemy bring you that would make it worthwhile?
Frankly, I do all my alchemy on an alt and send the flasks and pots to my pallytank. That said, I'm mining/engineering - so what do I know?

It's good NOW, but how about next tier when you replace that trinket? Think long term, not short term.
In Wrath I ditched alchemy and herbalism for BS and JC with the expectation that those would not provide me short term benefits, but would be worth it in the long run. Alchemy trinkets are short lived.

Dont forget that the trinkets are just a bonus for having alchemy, they arent what competes with toughness. Mixology is what you get instead of toughness, and it will last all through each tier of raiding content just like toughness does.

Mixology is a huge boost because it's not just a straight Stam buff from the Steelskin Flask. You benefit from the Elixirs which are arguably better than Flasks, bonuses are well worth the profession considering the flexibility for certain encounters. Anything with high spell damage component (Like Nef or Incendius) you can pop a Prismatic Elixir and you'll gain bonus resistences on top of Aura/Totem/Shadow Resistance Buff. The Mastery Elixir is amazing for when you really want complete CTC for something like Chimaeron or Magmaw. Need to be hit capped for a night for interupts? chug an Accuracy Elixir.

Not to be underrated is the double-length of flasks. It may cost a couple/few thousand to level Alchemy, but at the cost of flasks, you'll repay it in any reasonable amount of nights raiding, assuming you raid more than an hour at a time.
The prices high enough that it makes sense to re-specialise your alchemy each time you switch activities. As in you get xmute spec to make truegold or shadowspirit diamonds, and get elixir spec to make flasks. It costs 150 to swap, which you can make back in a single proc.
Granted, you can make a lot of money with mining, but that does involve a lot more time than buying/processing/relisting.

It's also worth mentioning that as of the patch, Cauldron flasks seem to be gaining both the Guild Perk and Alchemy Bonus. So your flask from the pot is lasting 3 hours!
