Are you looking for PTR parses examining which abilities proc SoT or do you already have this covered?
Yes, though I haven't specifically asked for them. The PTR is still going to be in a state of flux for a few days, I suspect. Still, it would be interesting to see what exactly procs what. A single successful cast of each ability in our arsenal should be enough to sort it out, if you have the time. Don't forget to include AS, Holy Wrath, etc., and space the abilities out by a few seconds just to make the combat log analysis easier.
Also note your talent spec - with JotJ, I could imagine getting 2 SoT procs per Judgement.
benebarba wrote:For the meta gem shield block buff - you want the lvl 80 gem, or is the 85 (eternal shadowspirit diamond) OK? (I still have an old hat with one of the 80s, and my current one has the 85). I could always do both, though the helmets they are in have different stats of course.
Preferably the new one, but a parse of each should do. Your stats aren't that critical, as the combat log should show the total amount of the hits:
X hits Y for Z (W blocked)
All we're looking for is Z and W, from which we can determine the effect (W/(Z+W)). So if you can find something that smacks you for 10k or so, and let it beat on you once with each helm equipped, that should suffice.
<edit> Sculder provided data for the level 85 diamond, so this one can be considered finished.

Sculder's block meta testing:
This certainly seems like solid proof that the block meta adds a flat 1%.

Re: A Call to Arms - Cataclysm Mechanics testing
What we need right now is :
a. Long Word
b. seals on PTR (n.b. : PTR only)
@Theck : I've figured out Mending/WoG from your tests; the results are similar to yours, bar some minor caveats. If you don't have any objections, I'll wait until someone provides the Long Word data, and then I'll condense my findings into a single post.
a. Long Word
- build : anything with 2/2 EG, 2/2 GbtL, and 2/2 Divinity
- glyphs : WoG, SoI, Long Word
- gear : a regular Prot set (i.e. not naked)
- buffs : none
- seal : Insight
- target : any low-lvl dummy
- attack sequence : CS and 1-HoPow WoG (AA and J are irrelevant)
- goal : at least 100 WoG casts
b. seals on PTR (n.b. : PTR only)
- build : you'll want two distinct builds, one with 0/2 JotJ, the other with 1+ JotJ
- gear : any, but equip a slow 2H (3.6+)
- seal : rotate all of them
- target : Argent Tournament dummies
- attack sequence : only J and HoW (i.e. avoid AA)
- goal : for each build, test if the selected abilities can proc seals (all four of them); for 1+ JotJ build, be sure to look for double procs (if any)
- note : SoInsight may not proc on the very first cast, therefore each of the two abilities must be cast at least five times before dismissing it as a valid trigger

Sure.
Is that Long Word test a replacement for the one currently in the OP, or in addition to it?
Similarly, do you mind if I add Avenger's Shield, Exo, and Holy Wrath to the Seals test, since there's evidence that at least Exo (and likely AS) are going to proc seals now?
<edit> And potentially HotR.

1. Replacement.
2. Feel free to add (HotR/AS)*. I've considered them myself, but I've cut them off in order to increase the probability that someone will actually carry out the test.
* Exor will be tested by Ret paladins, so no need for an overlap; HW doesn't proc any seal on PTR.
EDIT : I think you can scrap #4 and #5 from the front page. I have reasonable values for the scaling coefficients, and Divinity works as expected with them.

Done. I eagerly await your more thorough analysis of my WoG data, since I obviously missed something.

Re: A Call to Arms - Cataclysm Mechanics testing
got some data for #2, will upload to WOL shortly.
level: 85 (lvl 70 dummy)
AP: 5021
SP: 1546
weapon damage: 46-70 (with fiery weapon)
weapon speed: 3.8
weapon name: Battle Axe (vendor)
Spec: Prot ( http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/m ... nt/primary )\
the WoL uploader doesn't seem to like my password, however - is there another way to upload the log? It's 86 KB, if size matters.

PTR build: 4.0.6 13482
http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/mzbagrwetitmpwhj/
I had 2/2 JotJ in my build.
You'll notice that HW/AS/HotR hits multiple targets, that was my wishful thinking that they would proc seals on more than one target. Appears AS/HW doesn't proc SoT at all, HotR does on the primary target though.

Re: A Call to Arms - Cataclysm Mechanics testing
I can confirm through observation and a short combat log that all single target attacks both stack and proc SoT.
We live in a society where people born on third base constantly try to steal second, yet we expect people born with two strikes against them to hit a homerun on the first pitch.

Some snippets:
- Code: Select all
[16:35:44.151] Dwarfbs casts Hammer of Wrath on Charge Target
[16:35:44.151] Charge Target afflicted by Censure (2) from Dwarfbs
[16:35:44.151] Dwarfbs Seal of Truth Charge Target 52
[16:35:44.502] Dwarfbs Hammer of Wrath Charge Target 239 (O: 2758)
HoW stacks Censure, procs SoT
- Code: Select all
[16:35:53.324] Dwarfbs casts Judgement on Charge Target
[16:35:53.324] Dwarfbs Judgement of Truth Charge Target 2144
[16:35:53.324] Charge Target afflicted by Censure from Dwarfbs
[16:35:53.511] Dwarfbs gains Judgements of the Wise from Dwarfbs
[16:35:53.881] Charge Target afflicted by Judgements of the Just from Dwarfbs
[16:35:53.881] Charge Target afflicted by Censure (2) from Dwarfbs
[16:35:53.881] Dwarfbs Seal of Truth Charge Target 54
Judgement stacks Censure, procs SoT
JotJ stacks Censure, procs SoT
- Code: Select all
[16:36:09.373] Dwarfbs hits Charge Target 291 (O: 1188)
[16:36:09.373] Dwarfbs casts Hammer of the Righteous
[16:36:09.373] Dwarfbs casts Hammer of the Righteous on Charge Target
[16:36:09.373] Charge Target afflicted by Censure from Dwarfbs
[16:36:09.489] Dwarfbs Hammer of the Righteous Charge Target 1 (O: 473)
[16:36:09.489] Charge Target afflicted by Censure (2) from Dwarfbs
[16:36:09.774] Dwarfbs gains 1 from Dwarfbs's Hammer of the Righteous
[16:36:09.774] Dwarfbs Hammer of the Righteous Charge Target 1 (O: 1956)
[16:36:09.774] Dwarfbs Hammer of the Righteous Charge Target 1890
[16:36:09.779] Dwarfbs Hammer of the Righteous Charge Target 1880
Physical component stacks Censure. It probably procs SoT too given Flex's comment, but that didn't happen here, presumably due to latency.
- Code: Select all
[16:36:29.823] Dwarfbs begins to cast Exorcism
[16:36:31.211] Dwarfbs Exorcism Charge Target 291 (O: 3533)
[16:36:31.214] Charge Target afflicted by Censure from Dwarfbs
As promised, Exorcism now stacks Censure, and likely procs SoT if Censure is already present.
AS, Holy Wrath, Consecration don't proc, as expected (all multi-target attacks). I'd be curious to see if the AS glyph changes that - I presume not, but who knows.

Focused Shields did indeed not make AS proc SoT/Censure, log file too short to upload so I'm just pasting:

Here we go.
First attempt at giving you a log, so hope I didn't mess this one up.
I'm gonna try and give you more info than you probably need for this, figuring you can just ignore the useless stuff but hopefully will get all info you need.
Had a go at the WoG parse you requested, standing four roughly 10 minutes hitting the lvl 60 doll with the following stats:
Relevant info:
STR/AGI/STA/INT/SPI: 2885/164/7052/156/117 (normal prot gear except for one trinket to avoid a stacking agi-proc)
Melee:
Axe of the Eclipse with Mending enchanted
409.5 DPS
6005 AP
2.60 speed (2.59 on char-sheet after haste)
0.22% Haste (28 Rating)
0.82% Hit (99 Rating)
1.66% crit (36 Rating giving 0.20%)
5 Expertise (157 rating)
Spell:
1877 SP
0.22% haste (28 Rating)
8.97% hit (99 Rating)
3.78% crit (36 Rating)
Can't upload the file since I'm not approved in guild yet, but can upload it to WoL tomorrow after work if approved by then, or you can check it yourself on google docs
