Metal Instrumentals
or by what's considered metal bands, even if the song isn't necessarily metal. I'm looking for instrumentals that ya'll might like or know of. Here's what I've found so far from what I have on my computer.
-Metallica
Call of the Ktulu
Orion
To live is to die
Suicide and redemption
-Five Finger Death Punch
Canto
-Nightwish
The last of the wilds
-Trivium
The Crusade
-Edenbridge
Anthem
Empire of the Sun
-Trans Siberian Orchestra
Mozart and Memories
Toccata caprimus noctem
Carmina Burana
-Kamelot
Thespian Drama
So, what should I add to my instrumental collection/playlist? I'm sure I have more instrumentals in my collection already, but I'm still trying to find them, lol. But I'm always game to get more that I've never heard before.

Re: Metal Instrumentals
Apocalyptica got its start covering Metallica songs as a cello quartet, with no vocals. They sound fantastic.

I guess I forgot to leave off solo artists like Steve Vai or Joe Satriani...however, I think I might have to toss in some of their stuff. Cliffs of Dover by Eric Johnson comes to mind.

Little late for christmas music, but both Carol of the Bells and O Come Emmanuel by August burns red are pretty sick.

Re: Metal Instrumentals
This is an awesome thread. I'm definitely perusing these songs when I get back from vacation.
Bullet for My Valentine's The Poison opens with "Intro" which according to Wikipedia features Apocalyptica.
EDIT: The Hellion by Judas Priest is amazing.

If you like TSO, you might check out Mannheim Steamroller. Similar stuff (though I've mostly only heard their Christmas music.)
