That they do. All told, the zone is a rather horrific story told in a surprisingly light-hearted manner. We got a precursor of that music with Operation: Gnomeregan, btw.

Some good pop-culture fan-service going on in that quest chain! Speaking of which, I found a staggeringly obscure pop culture reference in Desolace: a centaur named Jugkar Grim'rod. I know it's been around a while but still... Been a long, long time since I've read "Alien Legion."

Are there any quest chains that need doing prior to the Gnomebliteration chain (starting from A.I.D.A. Communicator). Can I just fly there, kill mob, loot item, do chain and collect gloves/kill gnomes?
