Mariachi Music
So I was a little depressed today because I'm iced in at home..I haven't been able to get my thanksgiving dinner shopping..and with the weather conditions in Seattle I might not be able to in time.
Also that Korean incident got me sadder because I worry for my brother.
So I decided to turn to what always makes me happy and emotionally well...MARIACHI MUSIC.
Ya I know most of you don't know or care about it, but here are some of my favorites, to me its like Mexican Operah:
Amo y Esclavo by Pepe Aguilar
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8r-7lEoXf0g
Perdoname by Pepe Aguilar
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ja_Xy7VNSI&feature=related
El Mariachi Loco Quiere Bailar
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJIIXJm7k_k
Guadalajara Guadalajara by Vicente Fernandez
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJgjusUvPn0
Mexico Lindo y Querido y Pepe Aguilar
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fk63tBsezA
Cielito Lindo
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yjJDv1IeF8I
Volver Volver by Vicente Fernandez
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ugNQ5uIN09Q
Por Tu Maldito Amor by Vicente Fernandez (another one that makes you want to drink to heartache)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gfm2zSgQ8cQ
Jarabe Tapatio
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zE6qVVffM1Q&feature=related
El Nino Perdido (This is supposed to be a son crying for his mother, so two Mariachis stand on opposite ends of their venue playing to each other)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APaiJSHx9ow&feature=related
My favorite Charros ever are Pepe Aguilar, Vicente Fernandez, Pedro Fernandez, and Jorge Negrete
Man I want a bottle of Tequila now.

I feel your pain thalia, we got a bunch here in Tacoma as well, except I had to walk 45 minutes to work since I don't want to lose my job and the buses/my car weren't going anywhere.

Mariachi thread is best thread.
Tequila has very odd effects on me, as opposed to all other alcohols. I try to avoid it, when possible.
But I do like mariachi music. Fortunately, there is a lot of it here, in San Antonio.

Playing very casually....for now.

My wife will sometimes break out some Cumbia music when she's cleaning house. I must say some of its really good.
Better to be known in a small guild, rather than unknown in a large guild.

My mom did that every Sunday. It was the only day she had off and she'd put on her Cumbia music and grab a mop or a broom and shake her booty to the Cumbia while she cleaned the house lol.

I have my brother and sister flying in today...at 6 pm! I hope the next storm doesn't start until after we pick them up.
So sorry you had to walk so long...Aergis just walks down two flights of stairs to get to work in his dungeon.

I live in southern Arizona so instead of people blasting gangsta rap in their cars we have people blasting stuff pretty similar to this. Usually it's on the more upbeat end of the spectrum, though, almost always with a male vocalist.
I still like it, though.
