My fondest FFT memory is definitely the Ramza solo fight (vs. who was it... Wiegraf? I don't know for certain). That shit was haaaaarrrrrd. If I'd ever raided Sunwell, I'd have almost certainly looked at "pre-nerf M'uru" and gone "Pfff you scrubs think this is hard, I soloed that Lucavi with Ramza back in the day." (again, I hear pre-nerf M'uru was hard, but come on, he couldn't have been solo-Lucavi-with-Ramza hard)

I wiped on that fight for hours, days, maybe even a week. I was starting to assume I was going to have to restart the game and take Ramza down a different path to beat this bastard, but then I subbed Squire and used the Shout (I think) exploit to get as many turns as I needed to take the dude down. It felt like I had landed on the damn moon when I finally beat it. FFT: what a game, although it was retardedly hard at some (many) points.

Best scene in (IMO) the best FF! I totally didn't see that moment coming, but it was a real emotional one.

Damn battle system that screws you on magic and archer "special" moves </3. F-U 14 turn move.

Nah, didn't screw you, there was a menu you could go to that would tell you exactly when your spells/archer moves hit, so you could plan accordingly to use abilities that would hit a target before that target got their turn. Now, Jump is a different story *grumbles*

That fight was ridiculously hard if you didn't plan ahead. First time I won with Ramza as a lancer and just jumped a crazy lot. Auto potion with X potions my second time made that fight a LOT easier

Let's see, my list would have to go

6
9
13
4
1
7
5
10
12
10-2
2
3
8

Also I don't compare FFT to the other simply cause they are different genres, but FFT is one of my favorite games of all times.

OOooooooh, how did I not know that FF3 had an American re-release on the DS, then again on the Wii?

BRB, buyin it.
- I'm not Jesus, but I can turn water into Kool-Aid.
- A Sergeant in motion outranks an officer who doesn't know what the hell is going on.
- A demolitions specialist at a flat run outranks everybody.

The DS version was fun because they added like, PC dialogue to the narrative.

Wait, what? Do you mean something other than the Japanese Virtual Console release that would have actually been released in the US? I'd actually play it on the Wii. Kind of a side track here, but despite owning several good games for DS, I have trouble actually playing anything on the system. Even the DS fat is too small for my hands (and I'm too broke for a DSi XL), and my neck cramps while I'm playing. I'd like to see something similar to the Game Boy Player released for the Wii, but I have no idea how they would implement it. /sidetrack

It's on the Wii as a downloadable game.

Final fantasy XIII-2 in-game footage!

http://kotaku.com/5809306/watch-as-real ... /gallery/1

Not sure what the second clip in that gallery is but looks kinda interesting but a little easy?

Spoilers, Copy and paste to read.

Serah is a playable character? I approve!
I also want to know if Fang/Vanille are going to recover from crystal stasis? and who's the new guy?

Oh hey a FF thread. My PS2 is at this very moment autoleveling 3 characters in the jelly room (finished the story line, which ends around level 50 for some reason; going to go kill the l99 idjits). The last time I played this was when my son was born; he's now doing farming runs for me. It is hilarious.

Also I liked FF13. I thought the combat system could use some clarifying, but I enjoyed it.

Uh. Guess which is my favourite?
Actually, it's FF IX. Got it at 8 year old and it endured no less than 18 playthroughs.
Music of that game was WTF AMAZING. Also, story. Also, characters. Also, combat. Also.. tl.
Then comes X (Omfg Auron.) Then FFT, altho i haven't finished it due to one-too-many save loss (end of chapter 5, and god knows how long the combat is in that game)
then XII / XIII, then VII/VIII.
Hating on XII is hard to do, really. Except "I wanted atb and haven't got it". On XIII i can understand a bit more, with some more radical changes then just part of the combat."
