CS vs. HotR

I was looking at this last night, anecdotally, and kinda confirm today by looking at TheckHD's numbers...and I come to this question:

If HotR does more damage, and has a more effective glyph, why would we ever want to use CS over it? I solidly cannot come up with a reason, since they, for all intents and purposes, provide the same auxiliary function: Generate HoPo and debuff Vindication.

The only thing I can think is different would be that it has a Holy Damage component, but if anything, that's likely to do more damage since it ignores armor...though CS with full sundering may be better (not sure if that was modeled).

Anyway, looking for some help as to why I should even keep CS on my bars, other than "Blizz told us that we use CS for single target, amirite?"
