Newbie to Maintankadin
Morning all,
Well as the EU servers are down this gives me some reading time.
I spotted this forum many many moons ago and I have meant to look here and read the basics.
My tankadin Siskus, has been out of action for over a year now and I brought him and the account back to life (Cataclysm took the better of me). After downloading GearScore and doing a few small WotLK non heroics to get me back into the swing of things, I realised that new mechanics and stuff has changed alot.
Anyway I am rambling and I managed in a day to get alot of decent equip to start some heroics.
Here's my armoury. Any hints or tips would be great. I am struggling keeping aggro from people like mage, fury warriors and Boomkin.

Re: Newbie to Maintankadin
I'd suggest you...
Dump the HoW glyph and pick up the glyph of Vengeance (+expertise)
Steal a couple points out of Divinity and put 'em in Reckoning, or
steal a lot of points out of Divinity/Raidwall and go for Crusade
When you need red on your gems, lean away from dodge/parry rating
and toward agility (hell, if you expect to do mostly heroics I'd
even consider strength)
Aside from the gem nitpick I have no problems with your gear, and
you've got all the vital talents covered.
When you pull, be assertive - grab the bad guys by the throat with
a series of big-hitting abilities. Plan to use half to 2/3 of your
mana in the first few seconds of the fight. Coasting at the end
of a fight while Plea fills up your mana is easy. Playing catch-up
is hard. A good threat meter will help you know when it's safe to
ease off.
Bring water. If your DPS outgear you by a retardedly huge amount
you just won't be able to coast and your mana will creep down. The
good news is our mana pools are so small that top quality water can
top us off in a couple seconds. It won't be fast enough for the
Ritalin-gobbling jackasses in your group, but we don't want them to
be happy anyway.
