I use littletooltipdoctor from wowace, but there are tons of tooltip manipulation mods. CT_mod has options to change it if you use that.

Ckknight really is good at coding, ya know. I use Parrot, Pitbull and Cowtip, and all are superb.

I use TinyTip as well. It also shows you the target of the npc/pc you are hovering

I used TinyTip, although after last patch I've been getting UI-errors and disabled that one when I tried to discover what addon caused it. Sometimes I couldn't loot mobs even, the cursor didn't change to the "loot"-one and I figured it had to do with TinyTip.

Since TinyTip haven't been updated (afaik) for quite some time I thought it was that addon that gave my errors.
You all use it without problems then ? Maybe I'll enable it again, kinda sucks without it

TinyTips works just fine. Did you check the error msgs? Usually you are just missing some libs. Or just try to re-install it completely.
