Seal of Truth Damage with 2.6 and 1.6 [Theck Request]
Theck as you requested. Here is Scenario #1
Instance = Old Kingdom Heroic
Seal = Seal of Truth
Weapon = http://www.wowhead.com/item=51947 Troggbane, Axe of the Frostborne King
Parse = http://worldoflogs.com/reports/rt-yvr5fzgw74kjxgla/
Scenario #2
Instance = Utgarde Pinnacle Heroic
Seal = Seal of Truth
Weapon = http://www.wowhead.com/item=50012 Havoc's Call, Blade of Lordaeron Kings
Parse = http://worldoflogs.com/reports/rt-ljrako4f2altck4v/
The purpose of this was to see how the damage with SoT is with a slow and fast weapon. Looking forward to the results. I know one thing is for sure. Avenger Shield accounted for 30% of my damage.

Re: Seal of Truth Damage with 2.6 and 1.6 [Theck Request]
Looking at the Elder Nadox and Svala Sorrowgrave fights:
These are all very approximate. I haven't been careful about averaging, partly because I'm sure there are other effects going on (short-term buffs and debuffs). Also, WoL doesn't seem to parse these logs correctly (partial resists and glancings seem to be missing).
What's strange to me is that your melee swings are around 850 and 1250 with those weapons, respectively. So we're looking at almost 30% weapon damage per swing, which is quite high. One would expect it to be around 18-20% if SotP were multiplicative (0.16*1.15=0.184). Instead, it almost looks additive (0.16+0.15=0.31).
We'll have to check on a more static target like a dummy to be sure.

Are you factoring in armor eduction on the melee swings?
We live in a society where people born on third base constantly try to steal second, yet we expect people born with two strikes against them to hit a homerun on the first pitch.

Ah, no I hadn't. That would probably do it. I'll re-check the numbers when I get a little time.

Including armor effects puts the seal damage between 17% and 20%, right where it should be. So SotP is still multiplicative.

I can't see WoL at work - what's the verdict on this? Slower weapon or faster weapon? Or doesn't matter?

Honestly, it might not matter, so far all the Cata 1H they posted were one speed.... 2.6. Dunno if it'll stay that way, but it might since they said something that that effect before.
I've seen about 4-5 "Melee DPS" weapons that were mostly Crit/Haste/Mastery:

http://db.mmo-champion.com/i/62476/ravening-slicer/

http://db.mmo-champion.com/i/56101/sun-strike/
http://db.mmo-champion.com/i/55067/elementium-bonesplitter/
The only tank one I've seen datamined is also 2.6:
http://db.mmo-champion.com/i/56130/mace-of-transformed-bone/
Lots of "weird" ones that are off-hand only, but still 2.6:

Yeah, that's true... but I don't see why they can't just make it "one-hand" rather than specifically "off-hand" since the speed are the same these days. I mean, not like combat rogues care to share. :p

All the weapons I've used have also been 2.6. I've just replaced a green quest reward Axe (2.6, Str, Stam, Dodge, Expertise), with a blue reward Axe (2.6, Str, Stam, Hit, Mastery). I had a green dps weapon before that at 2.6. I've not seen any fast one-handed Maces, Axes, or Swords.

Oh please no caster weapons. Geez that was an aweful time of infighting with people I know and love trying to steal their weapons.
I am intrigued that we may be moving to slow weapons instead of fast. I would rather personally have harder hitting abilities than autoattacking more often.

The verdict is the same as in Wrath. For auto-attack damage it doesn't matter, but since other abilities proc seals, a slow weapon will give you slightly more seal damage than a fast weapon.
I mostly wanted this data to determine if SotP affected Censure (it does), and how (multiplicatively).
