Re: Medical Woes
Ugh. This goes against all of my better judgment, but pester him about getting a vitamin B12 shot and some iron supplements.

Re: Medical Woes
Based on the symptomes you have provided, several possible conditions present. However, taking into consideration that up until recently (2 months ago) you were a healthy individual (making it acute), the fact that this onset of symptomes and complaints, as well as the fact Diabetes, (Hyper)Thyroidism, TBC, Hypocalcemia, Malaria, Depression and Hypocalcemia, due to the fact that they would chow up in CBC and Blood test, as well as the fact these present rather unique symptoms you have not mentioned (but are pronounced enough, not to be neglected), I am looking into the direction of an issue with either Pineal Gland, Pituitary Gland, Adrenal Gland, Thymus or Pancreas.
Most of the symptoms you describe, presenting without direct evidence thereof in general Blood Tests usually point towards either Paraneoplastic syndrome, or a Hormonal Issue.
Right or wrong, I hope they find what's wrong with you soon, and you get back on your feet in no time

Gnome tanks are pretty good, I mean, you don't need to wrap them in foil before roasting because they come pre-wrapped. - Pyrea

Its lupus
Maybe I just have a disease or an addiction to tanking, my gf says I'm a masochist I say I like it rough, either way I'm a tank and I can't escape it.

Re: Medical Woes
I thought the stalking horses on House were amyloidosis and sarcoidosis, not lupus? Seems like those are suggested every episode and shot down with a quickness.

Re: Medical Woes
To the OP:
I had to chime in here with a few questions/comments of my own in regards to your sleep hygiene.
First, how you sleep, and the quality of your sleep is vastly more important that anyone on here has stated. The quality of your sleep affects *everything* about you. Memory, sex drive, weight loss/gain, mood, liver/heart/kidney function, *Everything*
Without going to indepth,
1. Do you sleep with the TV/radio/external light/sound on?
2. Do you have pets? If so, do they sleep in the same room as you?
3. Does your spouse/signifigant other sleep with you?
4. Do you have children? Do they sleep with you?
5. Do you live on base?
What I'm trying to point out with these questions is that you're PCM, while good, is probably an idiot when it comes to the science and importance of sleep. (Don't feel slighted, most are)
Try to get in to see a sleep doc, if you're base doesn't have one try for a Pulmonologist.
Oh, and just to clarify, REM Cycles rarely look like a cycle at all. Just a pet peeve of mine. You're first Rem is *always* aborted, usually lasting between 1-5 minutes, and *generally* occurs 90 minutes from sleep onset. REM periods from that point on get progressivly longer in duration.
