I didn't have a druid in Vanilla - what'd I miss? How did we end
up talking about Faerie Fire?

Or are we talking about Moonfire because of my "calling on a higher power" remark?
That idea doesn't bother me for most casters, but would for enhancement shamans
and non-holy paladins. In those cases I think of the magic they're using as kind
of raw and unsophisticated, often just augmenting what their muscles are already doing.

In Vanilla, the Judgement animation was the Faerie Fire animation. They were identical.

And now I'm struggling to remember what FF looks like, even though
I was feralizing not two days ago. It's just a little burble of light
on the target, isn't it?

I know nothing traveled from the paladin's hand to the target, but he'd
thrust out his hand and then there'd be an effect on the target's chest.
I imagine them practicing it at first by hitting something, and then the
teacher would move them an inch back from the target dummy and say, "Now
do it again." And the neophytes would have to learn to project the same
energy beyond their physical reach, but they never lose the habit of thrusting
out their hand...

Speaking of the "clang", I couldn't help thinking while I was soloing some stuff yesterday that I could probably do without hearing such an obnoxious sound every 6 seconds over and over. I don't mind it on its own, and don't notice so much when there's a full group there making noise, but god does it get irritating when it's all you're hearing. Having it happen every 4.5 seconds would be terrible.

It's a bunch of golden shiny leaves on the target.

At first I hated the clangy sound of HotR, but over time I've come to rely on it to know that my spell actually fired.

It's also nice to know in heroics that if I have 4+ mobs on me, that clang means that I just did 10-12k+ damage in one attack.

(at least I think that's how much damage goes out w/ seal of cleave)

In addition to the CLANG, I want:
-a whole army of naaru to descend from the heavens, dropping hammers on all mobs within a 1000 yard radius that will stun them until such time I feel like tanking them
-a divine bubble of light to heal me to full, restore mana to full, and give me a goddamn massage, 'cause all that gear is heavy
-a sparkle pony that doesn't look like I practiced origami on Algalon
-and a freakin' house

Ok, I jest, but Lumennon made me laugh.

And I will contribute something more worthwhile when I can get the goddamn beta to reinstall - remove all old components, reinstall, still a corrupted file. :evil:

Gotta say I am disappointed with what they did with Cecil in Dissidia. Made him too much of a whiner imo. The Cecil I remember was pretty much the bestest. But the whole darkness/light thing turned me off in Dissidia. Meanwhile, WoL is completely awesome and throws his shield at people and is all like TO SHINE BRIGHTER and basically I <3 him.

Indeed.

And the judgement animation was the same used for holy procs on the target (like the dot of SoV).
They look similar (as in tiny and golden) but not the same.
