Re: Scott Pilgrim vs The World (Spoiler)
I stand corrected on the Doom = Uwe Boll thing. I think I've just been trained to associate horrendously bad video game movies with Uwe.

The only good Uwe Boll movie is Rampage (no seriously look it up).

Because there is no story or plot and very little dialog for him to butcher.
We live in a society where people born on third base constantly try to steal second, yet we expect people born with two strikes against them to hit a homerun on the first pitch.

C'mon, give him a break, Bloodrayne wasn't exactly high art to start with...

I heard most of the dialogue was ad-libbed by the actors as well so thats another reason.

The Expendables was fun to me. Great explosions, great shoot outs, flimsy plot. It was nice to see Charisma Carpenter again after not seeing her since Buffy/Angel.
Bye space sword!

And this thread, in 45 posts or less, has explained why Scott Pilgrim was doomed.
I enjoyed the movie as a movie, but I hate the story, especially with the good parts of the back story cut out. Ah well. Decent popcorn movie, but Expendables is probably a better popcorn movie.
(Blatant plug: My friends and I gave a very thorough review of the Scott Pilgrim movie on our S-Words podcast. You can hear it by following the link in my sig!)
