Can you solo Gruul?

Some friends of mine were wondering if a prot pally can solo gruul... not enought of us are online right now to get me past HKM, but I am in near full 25iccH with a 6200gs give or take a few.

Just wondering if anyone has tried this.

I don't see why not. He doesn't hit very hard, and should only have about ~2.2m hp.

Won't he grow too large and hit too hard before you can kill him?

Not sure about that.

I know rogues could solo him at lvl 70 with 100% avoidance.

But upon looking at these estimates, I really don't think Gruul is that dangerous to solo. When the lock is removed next week, I'll bring these two along for the council fight and solo Gruul to see how many stacks he'll get before he dies.

Theorycraft says you did roughly 25% of the damage to gruul, so if you were solo it would take rougbhly 4 times as long.

For you gruul got to 7, stacks so solo he'd probably go to around 28stacks.

At 28 stacks he melees for 6k and hurtful strikes for 16k. (est)

He also had buffs from the hunter and shaman. I'm guessing that he'd see 30 (max) stacks.

I don't see us soloing Gruul any time soon.

Didn't he cap at a certain amount of stacks?

99 stacks IIRC

He caps at 30 and then the stacks reset some time after.
