I used to watch Leverage on the Tele. Gave up after missing too many episodes. Now I just DL it. My favorite episode of a program that aired on a television at some point would be episode 15 of TTGL, the Fall of Teppelin.

Edit: Watched it again just now. The girlish squees could be heard for miles around.

again from Firefly, the episode where River and Simon are drugged and snuck into an Alliance hospital so Simon can run tests on River, while Mal Zoe and Jayne all ransack the med supply room....

i love Jayne's reaction when they dont ask what happened.

One of my favorites is "Memento Mori" from the X-Files.

From Firefly, I probably liked "Out of Gas" more. I like well done origin stories.

24: Season 1, Episode 24.

Very hard to come up with one specific episode but I'd say Dr. Who, End of Time. It was a two-part story though but was WAY better than majority of high-scale blockbusters coming from Hollywood, though same can be said about every special episode between S4 and 5.

Rescue Me: Last seasons Finale. Truly an amazing show, everything has come full circle. It was originally supposed to be the series finale, but they now plan to end the show on 9/11/11 on the 10yr anniversary of the main catalyst for what started the show. It is really a fantastic series, and Dennis Leary should have won something for his performances on the show.

Rescue Me is the only 'modern' show that I own DvD collections of the seasons for. I say modern because well.... I don't count the original muppets show, as it seems ancient now

curse you, hulu only goes up to season 2, and my local library only has seasons 4 and 5

The WB (believe it or not) has all episodes of Babylon 5 available free streaming. All 5 seasons.

The commercials are annoying, but worth it.

I can't link atm, but if you search for Babylon 5 on www.surfthechannel.com there should be a WB option for most episodes.

House, Season 3 Episode 12: One Day, One Room.

Not only is it the first episode after the rather annoying Tritter storyline, but it's one of the first episodes to not revolve around a medical mystery. It's a great episode that breaks the established formula.

In general, South Park is miles ahead of Family Guy, the WOW episode being one of the best IMO, but this FG ep was also a classic:
