Activated it on a whim the other day, between pulls. One of our regular healers was downranking the following: Healing Touch, Rejuv, Regrowth. Cracked us both up something proper. :)

Decided to turn Rankwatch back on since my rogue hit 80. It's staggering the amount of tells going out in a couple hours of randoms. Actually had a lock buff himself, stop, stand there for a minute looking confused, and then rebuff with the proper rank.

At least he fixed it. 90% ignore my tells.

Yeah, most of the people don't do anything, which leads them to getting spammed constantly.

i sometimes lower the lockout period when in raids to spam people extra hard when they blatantly refuse to rectify the issue

when leveling with dual specs it's quite understandable to end up with improper ranks, but at 80 there's no real excuse anymore.
