D & D 4th Edition night, finally get to pick up after about 2-3 weeks of no gaming.

Digression aside, anyone have any bizzare or outre stories of their gaming groups? I will post a few after I deal with the sheer awesome that is breakfast.

We had a DM who would, as everyone was settling in, facetiously open the session with some kind of horrifyingly awful situation. One was "as you walk down the street toward the armorer's shop, ten men leap out of the nearby shadows and kill you." That kind of thing.

One evening he opened by pointing at one guy (Marc, I think?) and said, "You find yourself in hell. A dog-faced demon is sodomizing you. What do you do?"
Marc confidently and immediately replied, "Try to enjoy it".

The speed and practicality of the reply made it seem like he had thought about this before, and 'Try to enjoy it' became one of our group memes.

An poisoned oasis that raises any that drink from it. If it's a small trade point, the traders can be such assassins and are immune to the poison.

A short synopsis:
- Get eaten
- Game Version Changes
- Other players are asshats and do things like attack the king for no reason
- friendly fire AoE effects. Whoops.
- A dragon. See the first one. "[W]hen meeting a dragon, players can expect the experience to be not unlike seeing how long you can hold your character sheet above a paper shredder before you drop it."
- You pissed off the healer or the healer's player.
- The dice. Stupid cursed dice that roll nothing in the higher two-thirds of their number range.
- You stop playing.

All this if you want to avoid seeing robot nipples. Or chest mounted refueling ports, I don't know.

Thank you for the rundown, it wasn't an issue of my sensibilities being offended but rather that of my employers. Will view it at home to be safe, I like having a job.
