Ret/PVE Arua Mastery Build

Heres my question: What does gettting aura mastery for a ret PVE pally do for me? Is it worth getting or taking those extra talents and placing them in the prot tree. I will keep seals of the pure though. Does it offer more dps or is it nice to have with concentration aura for the occasional pvp.

BTW, i do have it in my build but ponder why I do as it only increases the damage of ret aura 100% for 6 secs and its a 2min cooldown. I put 2 points in divine intelect and 3 in healing light to get aura mastery. I could use those 6 points somewhere else, mostly in prot for more survival. What are your thoughts?

Aura mastery is arguably a better cooldown for rets, because they do not have the points to pick up SotP AND Divine Guardian. The party only damage transfer, isn't as useful as 20% raid wide DR.

And AM isn't to be used with ret aura lol xD

AM on the other hand, works well on :

Sindragosa - Blistering Cold in p3
Lana'thel - Air phase

Aura Mastery + Ret Aura + Bone Storm = hilarity.

And you forgot it works well on Festergut as well.

Aura Mastery is a good cooldown, and doesn't interfere with the DPS of a ret. I don't know how good it is now that it is only 6 seconds, and I haven't been ret since 2 weeks into ICC.

I prefer it greatly to the DS/DG cooldown for a ret. It hampers DPS SO MUCH to use. Now, in 25 mans, that might not be such a big deal, but in 10 mans, a ret paladin losing a chunk of DPS is normally a bad thing.

AM is way better than DS in a 25, simply because, in a 25m, a party only damage transfer is, while helpful, not as good as a AM'ed Shadow Resist aura on an air phase.
