So it's true this drops from these heroics? Because on 20-30 tries I've not seen one drop. And If it should drop there's the 20 % chance to win it? How unfair...

They removed the hilt from the skeletons' loot table in HPoS a few weeks ago, so soloing is now a lot less productive.

Yes, but the drop rate on the elites was raised to compensate.

What kind of gear do you need to solo regular mobs in there?

If you have a BV set (read block capped) it's no problems, without BV could be trickier. I used around 2.6k ub BV and had no problems.

A guildie farmed H PoS for 10 hours straight, without drop. If you won't get lucky I'd say it's not worth it. Tried couple runs myself too but it just is so dull I couldn't stand more.

I read the threads on soloing the normal trash but you can solo PoS heroic?! Wow. Is this just the trash at the start or the whole place, bosses included? If it's just the trash do you just kill the elites at start, leave reset and repeat?

I'm very interested in getting a hilt to use, but my guild, like most, has largely stopped running the new dungeons.

You can solo the trash but it takes time. Use high stam set for the casters and high block set for the skeletons.


I have started soloing H magt, can skip 90% of trash and just kill bosses that drop good vendor stuff.

Last boss is a pain if you are asleep as pyro blast hits for 42 k ish lol, I just bubble as he casts after blowing wings at the start - easy peasy with a chance for the mount and yesterday I got the pet on both my druid and paladin.

A note to ferals.... you MUST blow all your cooldowns at the start and use dps gear, I even popped frenzied regen early on on my successful attempt - must get him to P2 without a pyroblast.

p2 is cake - I have soloed P2 on my level 70 lock on heroic (person running me ate the pyro and died).

Even after multiple wipes I still came out 40g or so ahead on each toon(30 g repair on druid - paladin one shot it)
