Your ideal Heroic 5 man team composition
I'm working on building a steady five man heroic group -- I'm in need of 450 badges, and pugging's just not cutting it...
My choice:
1. Me, the Tankadin
2. Resto Shammy - totems that can shift defensive or offensive, group heals, earth shield, heroism for boss fights, reincarnation
3. Shadow Priest - group mana, group heals, uber DPS, silence, shadow damage synergy with lock, MC, plus the ability to heal in a pinch
4. Lock - soulstone, healthstones, CC, uber DPS, AOE CC, shadow damage synergy with priest, banish, enslave demon
5. Mage - DPS, CC, drinks, AOE CC, silence, spellsteal
What would you want in your regular 5-man team?

I think there was a post talking about this topic before.
Anyway, for easy farmable 5 heroics, just get good and geared players, no matter what class, I can pretty zerg the instance.
For pugs or undergeared players, pretty much what your choice is, except that any healer works.
My dream group gonna be geared
- tankadin (enough said!)
- shadow priest (mc, shackle, dispell, fort)
- rogue (0 downtime, good dps, spell interupt, stunlock, dont want sap)
arcane or fire mage (water, poly, AE, decurse, int)
- lock (0 downtime, AE)
- tree (0 downtime, Hots, cleanse poison/curse, motw)
all good players, no down time, except when I have to drink. >_>

It's not exactly a dreamteam, but I've done a lot of groups with the following friends:
1. Me, tankanub - AoE tanking and buffs.
2. Enhancement Shammy - Brings teh totems and silly DPS.
3. Afflictolock - SoC happy and more than willing to draintank annoying casters who won't come into my consecrate.
4. Resto Druid - Main healer and occasional moonfire spammer
5. Holy Priest - Off healing, Starshard spamming and occasional comedy MCs.
We tend to do heroics quickly, and have a lot of fun doing so. I suppose the optimal team would see the Priest go shadow, the Resto druid replaced with a Holydin and the Shammy with a Fire Mage, but this works great.

Be careful when you argue with trolls, lest you become one.

well today me and some guildies decided we'd become a static heroic group after we destroyed pretty much every heoric people fear to do
our group makeup was:
Me
resto shaman
warlock
fire mage
and a hunter, although we have a spriest but we decided to use the hunter as the spriest kinda sucks in comparison
my group decided to do H SH and almost died of shock when we pulled a whole room and lived quite comfortably
although 3 of us are very well geared from kara and the like

In general, I like to chain pull my way though heroics with as little downtime and CC as possible. Thus, my preferred group tends to be:
Prot pally
Shadow priest
Elemental shaman
Mage/warlock
Any healer
The shadow priest gives the whole party 5% extra spell damage via misery and lots of mana regen. The elemental shaman provides totems (chiefly mana spring and wrath of air), benefits from misery, and can chain lightning. Mages and warlocks can both do single target or AoE damage, though warlocks also benefit from shadow weaving. As for the healer, any option has its benefits, though another paladin for a second set of blessings seems especially nice.
For instances that are especially AoE heavy like SH, resto shaman as healer and another mage/warlock in place of the elemental shaman.
