NR for the eagle boss
I have a full set of wildguard... should I be wearing it on this fight? He seems to crank out a LOT of nature damage, but tends to melee fast and somewhat hard at the same time, and can crush.
yes/no/maybe why?

I wouldn't worry about NR if you are tanking the boss. If you have an offtank that can handle it though, I'd throw on a mix of healing gear and NR. It's really nice to have those extra heals in this fight!

shaman`s totem or hunter`s aspect, if u have the epic crafted NR ring, you can use it too to avoid some dmgs.
NR shouldn`t be an issue for this fight, is all about dodging the storm,
easy mode:
mark someone with a raid icon and yell on vent for people to group up at about 2-4 seconds before the storm.

The way my guild does the eagle boss is about 5 seconds before storm everyone groups up on boss
Bit rough with the bomb but so far my healers have been able to handle it
Downed him twice now doing it that way

Eagle can crush.
(*Its bear and Lynx who don't)
If you overstack NR, you could quickly become crushable and end up right where you started....or worse.

Erm...why the hell should you need NR and sacrifice threat/meleemitigation for it? I just don't get it. Oneshotting this boss without AD popping in works fine without it as well.

I didn't know if he did enough nature damage, in addition to his melee, for it to be worth it. That's why I was asking.
Some of his nature spells hit quite a bit harder than his melee.

His Call Lightning hit our MT for 7k but it wasn't really anything we couldn't heal through. I wouldn't sacrifice mitigation stats for it. I opted to heal this fight every time we do it and let our warrior tank since he has better gear than I do and I can still seal/judge and flash spam when I'm not tanking.

Yeah, I wouldn't recommend taking yourself to uncrushable for this fight. I'd only put NR on if you are NOT tanking the boss. I find that it's better for my group to have our warrior tank the boss and I put on NR and healing gear and help with the heals.
(Otherwise, I'd tank the boss, and the warrior would... dps? lol @ prot warrior dps!)

lol @ two prot spec classes in a 10 man raid ><
Ehhh - would you really ZA with only 1 prot spec member??
Seems impossble for normal T4/T5 guilds.

One prot, one feral works plenty well.
Two accounts, two tankadins! Raaar.
