Re: Talent sanity check - guild app conversation
just want to point something out to those that don't take Vindication due to having ret's or warriors that can do this, when your off tanking a mob by yourself the ret/warrior isn't applying this debuff on your mob so by not having Vindication your taking more damage than need be.

If death comes to us all, then let it come to the DPS first

I completely agree with Ajax here, you lose a few % crit in the deal, but the tradeoff is worth it imo.

Just echoing the last 2 posts, my general spec philosophy is always to assume the worst case and that no one will be there to apply a (de)buff to a mob that you might be able to do yourself. Not only are you covered for normal raids, if you ever have to pug/daily heroic/VoA you won't find yourself in a sudden situation where you go "crap, now there's no Vindication/ThunderJudge/<useful talent a> on the boss.

definitely agree
also a thing to remember is that you're not having to make any survivability tradeoff to take vindication you're only giving up a tiny bit of something we have enough of. Even still if one is hurting for threat then there are better ways to go about fixing it than risk taking more damage.
