[Ret] How can I reach the 5k or 6k mark?

This is pretty close to his gear currently, i built this is Rawr at work. It puts him to 7.2k dps
with the aforementioned buffs. I'll get a more accurate gearing when i get home. I'm not
sure how Rawr works with AW either. But anyway here's a look at what this dude has goin on.

Is Hysteria actually good for a ret pally? It's only %physical damage done isn't it?

The best I've been able to pull so far in a 10 man with 10 man only gear is 4900 DPS on a stand and deliver fight. I did top 7k dps on XT on a non hard mode kill though...

If he can pull it off with Ironsoul, more power to him. I'm just not quite sure how he does it.

It sounds like the general consensus is, outside of Heroism, and wearing SOME Ulduar gear (I have the Hodir 10 axe, and 4x T8), I'm probably doing Mostly Right? Cool. As fight duration decreases, having more potion (wtb!), wings, and Heroism uptimes will help a lot.

Sorry had the right one, but must've copied the wrong link (I used Berak to verify that the Kelaan was you, since there are 2 other Kelaan's that are 80 Pallies Tabbed browsing + not double checking = fail.

One thing to look at that you may be overlooking is whether there is Curse of Elements on the mob.
Oddly enough, CoE is better than sunders for me as far as DPS benefit.

This, Elements is your second biggest dps raid buff, only a tiny fraction behind 10% ap.

We don't often have our DPS DK around... and I think he's blood at the moment, or was when we were trying to zerg Sarth10. Thanks for the suggestion, though: I knew it was a big buff but didn't realize how much. What are our most important buffs/debuffs, then?

I believe that moonkin also have a 13% spell damage debuff that does not stack with CoE and EPB.

With IMO Mid quality Ulduar gearand a low quality weapon (inevitabel defeat... eww) I generally pull low to mid 5k's.

But our raid comp isn't nearly as diverse as I would like...
