[Ret] First EoT purchase?

My main spec is protection, and I still took the ret libram first. Mostly because so far ToC bosses have not been a tanking challenge at all, and haven't made me feel the need to upgrade my gear. More dps, on the other hand, always helps.

Of course heroic will probably change that, but it's still a couple weeks away.

I did the same thing, I got the ret first, Ill still have the emblems to grab 1-2 more pieces before hard modes start.

I would stay away from more than one piece of t9 as the 2pc is currently bugged, the crit rate on RV ticks is ~4% flat. I personally bought the libram and will buy shoulders next then hold out until I hear word of the bug fix or i have enough badges/trophies to get 4pc t9. In the meantime I'll keep my t8 4pc. evidence

Just to reinforce the power of the ret libram.

Last night we were doing XT hard mode, and we had a raid with 3 healers. We decided to heal the fight, and the holy paladin went ret. After the first pull and he saw what kind of DPS I had gained from getting the libram he said, 2 people summon me, I'm buying the libram.

it is just. that. good.

Next up for me is probably going to be saving for the T9 Head, but I might stop and get gloves first, I'm not sure. I like to set my sites on the more expensive piece first, and it's also the biggest DPS increase for me.

I bought both librams first since I switch back and forth between the specs so often. I'm holding off buying any T9 until we start getting token drops.

I'm a bit surprised to not see anyone have ring as second choice - Just went Libram->Ring (Bloodshed Band) myself (ret).

Like everyone said, definitely libram first. I would get the ring second if I wasn't well over hit cap, but as it is I think I'll grab the helm next, as soon as I win a token.

Then wait for the 2-pc bonus to get fixed and buy another piece.

I lied, I bought the Bloodshed Band after the libram. My DKP is in the sh*tter, I won't see a Trophy for a while, figured I'd upgrade where I can.

My first purchase was the Libram... And only because I still had the Venture Co. ret libram on. I didn't even realise what a massive dps increase the EoT one was!

I then bought the t9.232 shoulders, to replace my t7. I have the conq headpiece, so I'm hoarding badges now to get the chestpiece for 2pcT9. But we'll see when I get there. I have a decent pair of i245 gloves from Anub, and I still have the clockwork legplates(leggings?)... so who knows what my next purchase will be?!
