[10] Herald of the Titans
How are you supposed to know what items are allowed and which aren't? For 3 weeks in a row we have had everyone take off their hardmode items from 25man and this week i inspected them all, they had 232 or lower and even some used greens yet no achievement.
Does anyone know what items are allowed and what arent? All 25man items are "too good" and fail the achievement?

All 25man nonweapons Uld gear is lvl 226 or below. T8.5 is 226.
10man hardmode gear is only lvl 226 except ofc weapons (and shields ofc)
You can try getting Ratingbuster, it will show the ilvl of your items.
Actually, they seems to have changed it after 3.2. Before it said no item over lvl 226. Now its "item level higher than is available in 10-player Ulduar", could mean ilvl 232 is allowed, or can mean weapon and shield 232 lvl is allowed.

thats the bit, 232 is officialy allowed as the "item level" but this week i checked everyones gear before we engaged him and noone had anything higher.
Altho, one of them talked with a gm and they said they are having problems with algalon. What problems, he didn't say

safest to assume a wording change is just that, a wording change - 226 is the highest allowed, unless someone you trust tells you they've gotten the achievement with 232 weapons.

We've gotten the acheivement with 232 weapons.
Dont wear PvP gear of any sort, since we think it bugs it.

I can confirm that if you have everyone wear itemlevel 232 gear max except one guy who wears a 239 necklace, it won't count.
...
I can very unhappily confirm that.

I've seen people that have gotten it while wearing 232 gear.

Logically then, my post implies anyone who still doubts whether 232 is allowed distrusts you.

You can also turn on the ilvl tags from your Interface menu. It's in one of the new options there. This achievement makes me kick myself for getting rid of Stoneguard when I got Titanguard. I'm glad to hear some 232 gear is allowed.

Alright, let me find the blue post that stated 232 gear is allowed.

You don't need to, unless someone says they still doubt you.
No one in this thread has said anything to that effect.

Herald of the Titans
Defeat Algalon the Observer in 10-player mode without anyone in the raid wearing any equipment with an item level higher than 232.
I am very unhappy.
Oh hey, guess what! We found out another fun part of this achievement.Defeat Algalon the Observer in 10-player mode without anyone in the raid wearing any equipment with an item level higher than is available in 10-player Ulduar.
Notice the red bolded words. We had to take a raid of 12 people and cut it down to 10, but the remaining two were in group 3, nowhere near the instance. One was offline. The other was evidently wearing something over 232. We have a ticket open with a GM and are hoping for the best.
