Here, this is a sample video from episode 3. This show have 5 different story arc, and it would appear there's a new OP per arc. The 2nd arc is a bit more comedic than the first one.

I like dubs. That is, good dubs. There have been many dubs that just fail hard, especially early on in the lifetime of dubbed anime in America. But recently there have been quite a few that GET the original material, cast appropriate actors, and just sound RIGHT. And when those things happen I enjoy watching the dubs as much as the subs (sometimes more).

Re: New Anime Season
The third Bakemongatari arc Suruga Monkey ended with episode 8, which is definately NOT for the faint of heart. After the detour that is Mayoi Snail with its slapstick antics, on screen violence quotient went through the roof. Oh, it of course also have its own opening credit, in episode 8.
Next stop Nadeko Snake. Unfortunately, the broadcast will end before they finish up Tsubasa Cat (final 3 episodes are going to be distribute on web, so I'm not sure how the fansubber will handle it).

Spice and Wolf is going well, but I really can't bring myself to watch Haruhi after living through Endless Eight.

Re: New Anime Season
The show of the season Bakemonogatari sort of have a hickup with the short 2 parter Nadeko Snake. Shaft really really went off on cost saving effort here. And the new Opening Credit is well done, though shuffled under the cost saving (the OP director said he barely had enough time to finish this.) Lets hope this show makes enough money for Shaft to actually hire more animator (they're desperate for animators).
Next up, the 5 parter, Tsubasa Cat, of which we'll only see 2 episode broadcasted.

The last like 3 episodes are being broadcasted on the web, so they can delay it, since they don't have to meet deadlines for tv schedules.

Shaft is famous for "We'll fix it on DVD" series. Bakamonogatari is a good show, and you can bet fans lining up to get it.

Re: New Anime Season
Since the OP/ED that I've posted are all highly misleading, someone have use the scenes from the first episode and create a highly effective AMV of Bakemonogatari.

And for the merchandise. The Japanese don't place much stock in things like advertising revenue, but they have a strong corporate culture that focuses on monodzukuri, the making of goods. So most of the money in an anime project comes from figures, toys, misc. merchandise, and DVD sales (though the DVD market is becoming depressed there and the blu-ray market is now the place to go)

There has to be! The story isn't finished! I will go to Japan and demand they finish! Or at least give me a copy of the light novels!

Re: New Anime Season
tons of cancelled stories out there that isn't finished according to the manga/novels
(gief moar Juuni Kokki!!!)
Spice and Wolf season one and two has gone through novels 1 to 5, so there is still more than half of the story left...
though I hope it will get produced...it's a great story.
I read volume 1 over at http://www.baka-tsuki.org/, but most of the other ones aren't finished with the translating yet...

now thats a sad anime...
...and pretty old by now(I remember it being advertised when I was in Japan ages ago...)
I can recommend tokyo magnitude 8.0 too though, a slow non-action anime with a nice story!
