Re: Post-Yogg Ulduar Priorities
Wow. Thanks for the unfortunate but cautionary tale. We've decided that we're not going to give up farming Yogg for progression Hard Modes, but we are going to push Algalon via IC, Hodir, Thorim hard modes initially. If we wipe on those too much, we'll move on to get Yogg down. We raid 4 nights/week: Sun-Wed, and we downed Yogg in 2 nights this week. That leaves 2 nights to bang our heads against Steelbreaker, and then go for Runemaster if we fail.
For the new progression weeks, I've decided to add a tower and a tree each reset, and give one day of wipes, including the bosses to get there for that weeks' hard mode. So coming this reset, FL+2, XT, Kolo(disarmed), Auri, Hodir till the end of the day. Next day, Thorim, Freya, Mimi, Vezax, and Yogg.
I've got a question for people. How many of you who downed Yogg were able to down him again within a single day the next week? Did any of you have trouble repeating the kill? It seems that since people have learned P1 and melee has learned P2, repeating the kill shouldn't be too difficult. Thoughts?

The following week we reached yogg-saron we one shotted him on 4 keepers.
It is a purely execute fight. If everyone knows what they are doing, it's very easy.
As long as noone pops too many clouds in p1 and melee know what they are doing in p3, it only checks how slow your tanks are at taunting.
i'd still say don't "go for disarm" you will get it eventually. Usually the splash damage will have gotten the other arm to 30-35% when kologarn hits 30%. Then just get both arms to low hp with prioritizing grip arm first.

Yogg repeat kills depend on whether you already wiped a bunch mastering P1, or just got lucky the first time
The latter will make the second kill take as long as the first, but if people can avoid standing in clouds for two minutes it should be relatively painless.
As Meyrinn warns, farm content should always be a priority when you're gearing up. The best thing about Steelbreaker is that you can go back and fight him after you kill Yogg.

from my guild experience, yoggy 2nd kill is the toughest, people get a bit more annoyed when they know you have already done it but cant seem to repeat it, once you got the 2nd kill then the rest comes easy, though after the nerf, its much, much easier to pull off
XT hard mode 25 man isnt that hard, we actually literally one shot it, have a life spark tank, have a good XT tank, good dps, and people paying attention and you win

we're going for Algalon, but being very careful to kill Yogg every week- gear helps immensely for every single hard mode- just look at the difference in killing Sarth+3 now that the DPS exists to never have two drakes on the ground at the same time.
