Also for anyone describing this to your healers - the simplest way I've found is to make certain they understand they do not get mana from being IN the green cloud - they gain stacks of the debuff. On leaving the cloud they take damage/get mana.

Does the mana return change with resists? The damage is shadow, so if there is a partial resist do you gain mana, none at all or just a portion of it relative to the partial damage you took?

Actually not. You take damage/mana per each tick in the cloud.


The shadow damage you take is unresistible btw.

It seems like the debuff ticks every 5 seconds and lasts 5 seconds. And you gain 1 stack per second.

It takes about 5 seconds to get 5 stacks. But we aim for 6-7. So it will tick twice on you, once as your building it up (I think right at 5 stacks) and again 5 seconds later while standing outside the cloud waiting for the debuff to come off.
