I actually find tanking mimiron's head perfectly viable but that's off topic.

Can you even melee his head while he's in the air? And if so, do you just eat the Bomb bots?

We've always gone with 1 melee tank on this fight, so I've never had a chance to try getting near the head, since I've had Assault Bots to deal with.

for our 10 man kills, i tanked the head and soaked bomb bots, just AS-exorcism-judge right off the bat, then taunt the bomb bots as soon as they land, bam, easy kill

As the previous posters said - 969 is the way to go. One of the pallys in my guild copied my spec and glyphs, but didn't bother to learn 969, and on Gluth he couldn't hold aggro over me without using taunt every CD( without taunt he was way below me in Omen). He noticed it, and next ID he had learned 969. No more pulling aggro from him without taunt.
