Is anyone having problems with Omen?

I tanked Archimonde on a try before last reset, we didn't kill him, but it was a decent try until a few ppl died from Doomfire. Looking at Omen, I was below 3 dpsers, looking at KTM I was 1/3 above anyone else on threat (demon boss, max rank everything all the time). Noone took aggro, so I'm guessing that there is some problem with Omen, I haven't really looked before since I'm usually offtanking stuff and is rather confident in the threat I can put out, I have them enabled (Omen and KTM), but not up on my screen to save some space.

After noticing this, I started checking it more often, when KTM says im putting out 1000 tps, Omen says 300tps.

Sometimes Omen does not recognize RF, especially if it fell off before.

I was having issues with omen being screwy in Kara for me last week also...I'm gonna check if there's a more recent version before I go back in on Sunday and see if that fixes the problem.

Omen seems to be very buggy for me lately. Sometimes it appears to be accurate, and other times it seems way off.

Last night leveling my hunter, there were a few times where Omen said I had 280% + aggro on my pet, and somehow my pet kept aggro....

It just seems so unstable, I know KTM get beat down for taking a lot of resources, but I need a threat meter that I can count on.

I think part of it is multi-target vs. single target. Last I checked, Omen keeps track of each target that anyone in your group has threat on individually, so you can switch to any target you're in combat with and see everyone's threat levels. I don't think KTM has this functionality...it seems like KTM makes one general list of total threat output by each person for that fight, and maintains that until you drop combat, unless you specifically set the master target using the button in KTM, and even then, it's only one target.

Yes Quean that is correct, but on Archimonde for example, there are no adds and the difference of KTM and Omen was HUGE.

Oh, that's f'd up then...I might start running both, at least in Kara, just to see if I can notice specific situations that seem to mess Omen up.

Omen has been off for our raid too. Nothing like engaging Gruul, letting the OT get some threat and then our highest dps rogue gets drilled because our threat meters showed him well below the OT when he really passed him. ><

I dunno. Before the 2.2 patch it worked perfectly. When it came out and broke all my mods, thats when Omen started acting funky and has ever since even with frequent updates.

Omen does fine most the time. Only ppl not having updated for a long time or using a old version of KTM will not reset their own threat on certain encounters, so their threat will rise far uppon yours after a few aggro resets.
just tell those ppl to please update their threat addon

Yes, the old versions of Omen screwed up. Update your version and you'll be fine.

I don't have any problems with Omen unless I am in a group with someone using an old version.

I usually do a party revision check. If anyone has an incompatible version, the revision check will display it to your chat log.

What I have found is most people that have problems are using some revision < 42000, when the most recent revision is over 50000.

Just do a compatibility check. That should help.
