[10/25] Frozen Blow Mechanic Question

I recall hearing somewhere that negating all of Hodir's physical damage during Frozen Blows (via shields or high armor+block or however) makes it so the frost damage doesn't come into play. Can anybody confirm or deny this?

Dodging / Parrying it definitively doesn't make the blow happen, at least that's what i notice.

I noticed that as well, I just haven't been able to test if something like absorbing all the damage via PW:S works the same way.

Hmm you might be able to test with divine protection while under 35% health. On 10man you might be blocking everything at that point and you could see if you still took any frost damage or not.

I think (but i'm not 100% sure about this) i got into that situation, blocked a full hit and got the blow still, since blocking an attack still counts as "struck".

I observed this behavior on the PTR several months back when the encounter was in initial testing, however I haven't tested it since Ulduar went live to confirm if it was corrected.
