Dark Moon Card Greatness
I was looking into this and was seeing it is a really nice trinket for alot of classes/specs. So i was wondering if any of you get a chance to grab this trinket wich stat would you get and why? Im debating over STR or AGI, i know we get threat/BV from STR but then again im not too sure on how much Dodge we get out of AGI, so essentially it could be used as a threat/avoidance trink.
Any help/info would be nice

The proc rate appears to be 100% with a 45 sec internal gcd giving it a 33% uptime or in other words ~190+ of the stat over time.
edit: Majiben reminded me that I forgot Redoubt. Doh!
Majiben wrote:73 BV from the 90str. That's nothing to sneeze at. The proc yeilds 244 BV.
90 agility yields 180 armor, and 1.7% chance to dodge.
So, the trade is:
180 armor + 1.7% chance to dodge
vs
103 str (73 BV, 206 AP).
I'm not sure which I'd pick.

There are better avoidance trinkets. The Strength deck is amazing for a BV/threat set. No contest.

You can have both the agility and the str one equiped at once but the second one equiped would only be worth it's static stats and not the proc since the proc is unique.

The proc is identical regardless of which flavor you're choosing: It will always boost either your strength, agility, intellect, or spirit, whichever stat is highest at the moment. Equip 90 str trinket in holy gear, the proc will give you int.
Go for the strength card. The differences between the two are negligible for Prot, but you'll be glad for the 90 str should you ever go Ret.

Exactly why I picked up the str one last night. Awesome for my BV set, super awesome for my Ret offspec.

Yeah, the Str one is far and away the BiS trinket for ret, even including all Ulduar-level gear. I got it for Ret, but for tanking there are many superior trinkets.

I actually use it in my MT set... since I don't have a stamina trinket anymore...
I like the DPS and threat as well as the EH. Meh.

Best card trinket I ever invested in. I run thro Heroics with my block set and this trinket, and do every heroic in one day, in like 5 hours or so. Same thing can be done in 10 man instances. In 25 man, no one touched my threat generation when I have this equipped. Also best ret trinket in the game and Is also good for PVP. Like I said best investment I have made in WotLK because of all the different situations it is used in.
