Help with threat spec for 3.1

Postby Tim » Fri Apr 10, 2009 10:50 am

well i seem to be having some problems deciding what threat spec i would like to use in 3.1

The spec i would like to get. ... rsion=9767

The best spec for threat so i have read ... rsion=9767

so now what i would like to know is does the spec i would like to get beat this spec? in threat? ... rsion=9767

i would really like to get the best threat spec but also loosing 5% from SA seems to huge not that i have mana problems but when spamming my aoe i can see mana being a problem even with the 100% dp uptime but is it really 100%? what if you aint always hitting the boss and req you to move away for w/e reason?

so what im wondering is does 3/2 crusader beat 5/5 seals of the pure? and is it really a big diff between 3/3 & 3/2?

thanks in advance for any advice :)

The 5 points in Conviction alone would be seals of the pure with the better gear you have and 2 crusade would beat seals of the pure also there is a difference, 3 of course would be best for threat no matter how you look at it but if don't want to lose 5% SA then don't lose it for 1% more dmg lets not forget 5% mana from your heals is a lot considering as a tank you'll always be taking dmg. Then you have your Blessing of Sanctuary that gives u mana on every block dodge or parry. I also doubt there will be many times where you wouldn't be hitting the boss for 15 sec and your divine plea is up every min and it is up 100% as long as you melee every 15 sec.
So in order of threat from best to least would be the second spec posted is best the spec you would like to get is slightly behind and the spec with seals of the pure is the lowest threat wise.

There is math posted around the place that says 2/2 SA is total overkill.

It's important to realise that if you need to spam AoE, there are going to be more than enough mobs to sustain your mana through Sanctuary. ;)
