I ran OOM on Gruul :(

So last night I gave Gruul a shot, turns out I couldn't get hit enough to keep my mana at a sufficient level to hold threat and because of it dps was threat capped and we didn't have enough damage, so my question is how can i counter this, I drank a manapot every time Cd was up and still went OOM, i guess i could down rank Consecrate maybe? Any help would be much appreciated, what do you guys do?

I'm assuming you were offtanking, in which case that's a problem even for Warrior OT's. Common practice is to just stand in a cave-in

Shadowpriest. Or at least, a shaman for Mana Spring, else don't do it.

To be honest if he had 90% dodge the defence + base miss + parry would already have made him able to solo

About changes, you could get Maiden's Gloves, and Attumen's Wrist.

Your stats are fine otherwise, you just got "lucky" with dodging too many attacks, since you definitively don't outgear the encounter.

It happened to me once, on Leotheras, to dodge / parry about every attack for 2 transitions, making me going OOM and whining on Vent for a Innervate. (and i got 3 innervates at same time lol). And i costantly run oom on Prince Malchezaar and Nightbane due to too many hits avoided. Avoidance is good but not necessary, thats why i keep very low parry and dodge (17% each) and high block rating (30%+)

I chug mana pots and eat demonic runes every cooldown. I LOVE demonic runes for that kind of thing, or just to have in general. I just wish they dropped more frequently AEing all the demon satyrs in Felwood for an hour and only coming out with 3 really makes me a sad panda.

When I pick prince up, I'll blow AW when JotC is on and judgement cooldown is up. Then I exorcism/JoR while keeping up max rank consecrate. Once AW is up I'm usually at 40-50% mana, and drink a pot (pvp pots and skettis escort pots usually.)

After that I switch back to consecrate rank 4 and exorcism, judging righteousness only when the seal is about to expire. I normally won't have to drink any more pots after that, phase 2 is a big help for mana.

Depending on your server, Dark Runes (which are identical to Demonic Runes) can usually be found on the AH for a reasonable price.

I have a hard time believing you were OOM unless the attempt only lasted a few growths. By the middle of the fight you should have infinite mana.

Also, 100 more spell damage would help early when he's hitting like a girl.
