Skill  Mana Effective Cooldown  m/s
ShoR   263   6      43,83
HotR   263   6      43,83
HS   439   9      48,78
Cons   966   9      107,3
Judg   219   9      24,3

devided them by their cooldown and added them toghter

268,04 mana lost per second

Divine plea mana per second:
Code: Select all
Max mana raid buffed~ 7500
DP 25% over 15s = 1875 mana
125 mana per second back from DP

BoSanct Mana per second:
Code: Select all
Block cap = 102,4
Swing time = 2.4s
Miss chance = 9,34

I got my miss chance by using 5+dr(GetCombatRating(CR_DEFENSE_SKILL)/122.962 = 9,34

BlockCap - Miss = BoSProc
Attacks/s * BosProc = BoSProc/S
Mana * ManaBackFromBoS * BoSProc/s

And with numbers:
102,4-9,34=93,06%
(1/2.4)*0,9306=0,38775
7000*0,38775*0,02=54,285

~54,285 mana per second back from BoSanct

Mana from Replenishment
Code: Select all
Mana * Replenishment = Mana back from Replenishment

7500*0,0025=18,75

Mana from JoW
Code: Select all
PPM / Minute = Proc per second
15/60=0,25

BaseMana * 2% = ManaReturned
4394*0,02=87,88

ManaReturned * PPS = mana back per second
87,88*0,25=21,97

How much DTPS do we need for +-0
Code: Select all
SA 5%
Spent 268,04
DP 125
BoSanct 54,285
Replenishment 18,75
JoW PPM 21,97

Spent - Gained = MissingMana/s
MissingMana/s / SA = DTPS

Without BoSanct
268,04-125=143,04
143,04/0,05=2860,8

With BoSanct
268,04-125-54,285=88,755
88,755/0,05=1775,1

With Replenishment, BoSanct and JoW
268,04-125-54,285-21,97-18,75=48,035
48,035/0,05=960,7

TL;DR

DTPS needed
Without BoSanct
2860,8

With BoSanct
1775,1

With BoSanct and Replenishment and JoW
960,7

Conclusion: There is no need to take more then 1 point in SA
This would seem to disagree with you.

Basic spec.

Needs 3 points spent lower in the tree but those points are not shown.

Agreed, that's the cookie-cutter that everything else should come from as a MT. I, personally, can't resist getting to DG with my 3 points in Prot left to spend, and I've decided to go for 5/5 Convic and 3/3 Sanctity of Battle. Makes the most sense for my situation = Imp. judge at 1/2 and put 3/3 HotC and 1/5 Bene. ^^

You said Sanctity of Battle based on your linked spec I'm guessing you meant Crusade instead?

3 points in Conviction and 2 points in Crusade would be more TPS and DPS than Seals of the Pure. Reckoning is a weak talent better off putting the points in Judgements of the Just.

This is the best mitigation talent in the entire prot tree. If you're skipping it for more DPS, just go spec ret and tank with a two-hander.

Sorry, but skipping JotJ is /facepalm.

If you're going to drop a mitigation talent because you're only doing easy stuff, drop AD.

I would recommend http://ptr.wowhead.com/?talent=sZV0tAbuMGsIufdxf0hbM or http://ptr.wowhead.com/?talent=sZV0tAbuMusIufdxf0hbc seeing that we only really need 1 point in SA with the divine plea change

Maybe this has already been discussed, but what about using dual spec for ... two different tanking spec ? (and glyphs obviously)

While I would like to take Holy as a second spec, my first job is to tank (and raid lead but, to my knowledge, there is no spec for that :D).

First spec would be a 12 / 53 / 6, keeping the traditionnal base and going for imp. LOH and using salvation and divine plea glyph (dunno about the third).
Second spec would be a 0 / 53 / 18, posted many times around, using threat glyph (as well as divine plea).

Though it seems the best way to optimize my tank the most, I'm not sure it will really help to have +50% armor for 15s to the price of such threat and the ability to swith to holy ...

PS : I never had a dps close to catch me in Naxx 10 or even the few 25 attempts we did, best of them being at 70% of my threat on 4H where we burn every CD starting from the first second, that is why I question the need for so much threat (while tank dps is important as well, especially when the tank is usually 3rd or 4th in Naxx 10 ...)

Since Conviction has been shown to be better then SotP at higher gear levels shouldn't it be bumped to situational?

We'll, it's afaik better this patch aswell with 25 man naxx gear, it's just that it requires filler to get too so the overall spec is worse but if you're going that far down anyhow for your PoJ fix(which you've labeled situational) then you might aswell go conviction over SotP.

Probably. We'll be sure it's included for the next patch, but right now most Paladins aren't in 25 Naxx gear, and certainly not the ones that would be reading this sticky. I see no reason to make this sticky more confusing to new Paladins (to whom it's aimed anyway) when we'll have a new one coming in a week or two. To be more clear, I wouldn't just have to change the label, I'd have to add another label (because it's still correct for pre-Naxx 25 Paladins). Then I'd have to explain why it has two labels, etc. It's just not worth the confusion it'd cause for something that's going to be rewritten so soon anyway.

3.1 launched today, so I am unlocking and unstickying this post because it is out of date. We'll have a new sticky when I (or someone else) writes a good one.
