well, I waited a couple of hours, and I just picked up 2,3,6,7 of nobles for about 2400 gold. I guess now it's back to farming dailies and ore so I can finish off the deck.

One card spiked down to 700g briefly yesterday (after I'd bought it for 850 the day before), most cards I've only seen as low as 1000g

I'm the scribe-bitch for a mate of mine. He's plays a druid herbalist.. ie a monster when it comes to farming. Sends me pages worth of herbs and eternal life. I make cards, he becomes happy. When he gets happy, I get duplicate Nobles-cards.

What about rings? What are the better rings to get outside of a raid?

Not that its the bets trinket, or even a great trinket, but the undeath deck, that gives the darkmoon card death (85 crit and a shadow bolt type proc) goes for like 500g on my server, its a nice cheap trinket thats easy to come by while the faire is in town for offspecs.

As far as rings here's some options, rated best to worst

http://www.wowhead.com/?item=44935 is extremely expensive and may not be as good as the ring above depending on your gear level....I wouldn't bother imo

http://www.wowhead.com/?item=37642 is a solid ring for starting raids available from H Gundrak

http://www.wowhead.com/?item=42642 is another craftable ring, but again I have trouble justifying the expense given the available alternatives.

Anyway, before I repeat this exercise for every slot, here's a lootrank link to serve as a rough guide:

That's a ranking based on stat weights taken from my current gear and Redcape's DPS spreadsheet. Some caveats:

-- don't trust the trinket ratings, lootrank doesn't model trinket use/procs well.
-- set bonuses aren't included at all. You really want 4pT7 even if you have to use some slightly "inferior" pieces.
-- the ranking assumes hit cap isn't an issue. If you take all the "best in slot" pieces in this list, you *will* be over hit cap.
-- if your gear level is lower than mine (see my armory), Str/AP will be worth relatively more than they are in this list.

I didn't forget that ring, but I had to cut my list off somewhere, and the five rings I listed are all better than that one.

On that note, I just learned something. Apparently paladins don't get any attack power from agility >.< I thought it was a 1:1 ratio.

Was comparing the agility-ring to my strength-ring when I noticed a lack of attack power -_-


With said revelations in mind, my old cloak is probably better than my silly epic cloak.

Indeed, it's only hunters/rogues/druids that get 1 ap per agility, gives us lots of crit though.

Yep, the cloak of bloodied waters ranks #5 for Ret Pally cloaks (it's what I'm using), and the only better cloak from 10 mans is the Cloak of Mastery from Saph. The one saving grace for agility is that we have a much better Agi -> crit conversion than Warriors (I'm not sure about DKs).

True, though that still puts it at #3 on the list of current rings, no doubt lower once we know what all is available in Ulduar. Now if that gear's out of reach for you this could be an option, I just think it doesn't fair well in a cost/benefit analysis. The ring certainly suffers from too much investment in stamina.
