Divine Sacrifice - Single Point, Teir 3 Prot Talent
*DISCLAIMER* NEW PTR TALENT, SUBJECT TO CHANGE, ETC
I am normally not quick to judge something before having a chance to see extensive testing but..
This looks like trash. As an MT, I plan on skipping this.. joke. Discuss?
Divine Sacrifice *New Talent* (Tier 3) - 30% of all damage taken by party or raid members within 30 yards is redirected to the Paladin (up to a maximum of 150% of the Paladin's health). Instant, 2 min cooldown.

There's already some discussion in the general thread, but my take is: not essential, certainly a lot better for Prot than DG was.
No, you won't use it while taking huge blows to the face, but in Maulgar/Fathom-lord/Illidari Council type fights, or on a high-raid damage/low tank damage fight like Loetheb, it certainly could have its uses, especially in conjunction with Divine Protection.

WHAT WOULD BEST DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONALITY?

You make valid points. And yeah, that really does put the talent into perspective. Very situational.
That being said, I can't help but feel a bit gyped by it. As Majiben said in the post before yours, it looks and feels like a "dipping" talent, something to encourage holy to move into prot.

i hate it, if ur OT'ing bubble immune take raid dmg, easy...
what if we pop this, we get insta gibbed, its a horrible talent,,, theres a chance we take 60k dmg , let me jump in on that one..
other tanks get last stand, we get, take "X" amount of dmg, WOOT

well, our 11 point talent is ...
5 point tier 1 prot talent = 5% more healing
1 point tier 3 = take 30% raid damage up to 150% pally hp
2 point tier 4 = DG up to 300% pally hp
it really looks like we are to be once again more of a utility role than a main role. (bring a pally for blessings, auras, and now raid DR)

The problem with Divine Sacrifice is that you have to use the talent, and if you aren't being healed then you had also better use Divine Shield or Divine Protection which is another one you have to use (IE: you have to key-tep or click both of them).
Divine Guardian is just one tap/click total.

Apparently I'm the only one that really loved to use Divine Guardian. But then again I also liked to use hand of sacrifice as well. I use DG on fights like Sapph when I'm not MTing, and helps take the stress off the healers to from the aoe frost aura. And then there's things like Malygos where the phase changes and you're not needed anymore. Deep breath!? Not anymore! Now it's only slightly shallow breath!
And I can't count how many times Hand of Sacrifice saved us from a wipe and allowing the healers a chance to catch up or rogues/hunters to get rid of the enrage effect.

DG has many uses. DSac just feels like a nerfed DG we can active w/o bubbling. IE to get gibbed.

should have a big red tag on it...
DO NOT USE WHILE TANKING ANYTHING DANGEROUS..
its a useless cooldown as a tank this talent appeals to offtankadins in alot of ways its about as useless as the talent warriors have to improve intervene...
Honestly this is pretty much the worst idea ever...ok its good for pvp thats about it.
