AN- Hadronox bugged?

The reason why you had the encounter "bug out" was because you had too high dps. For every big add you kill hadronox moves 1/3 of the way up. If you kill them before she has had a chance to move up closer, she will not come the full way. Had that bug all the time on normal when we were leveling up and "farming" it for the fast xp / loot.

Best way to do the achievement (and frankly, to kill her also) is have someone who can reset the encounter (rogue, hunter or anyone with the christmas toy) and just run down, even without a hunter you will reach it just as she is about to spawn, maybe you have 10s to wait if you are fast.

What is this Cristmas toy you speak of? The rocket tonk? How do you use it to bug the encounter?

Use it to pull the first mobs, they kill it, they reset (and despawn temporarily).

I can confirm that too high DPS is the cause for this bug. Like Seloei had mentioned the key to not having this happen to you is to wait for the boss to move before killing groups. This is still occurring post 3.1.1. You can help him come up the tunnel faster by picking off the adds that go down to him but I've never seen him web the doors when the bug happens.

Checking the boss progression (by looking down past the webs to the tunnel) between pulls can prevent this:
  • You should check his starting position, pull the first group and check the boss again. Wait for him to move up and stop.
  • Pull second group and check the boss again. Wait for him to move further up.
  • Pull third group just as you see him emerge from the tunnel ahead.

When the groups are done you should have Hadronox lingering close to the stairs, you can chose to engage him here for the achievement or wait for him to take down the adds.

Poison is the main problem with this boss as heals on a poisoned player heals the boss as well. Any poison cleansing class would be a benefit. It would be difficult to do the achievement while Cleansing your self. Cleansing totem makes the achievement easier to attain if you have a Shaman in group. Yet to do the achievement on my Pally tho due to lack of poison cleansing :x

It's not a bug you can't do the achievement for doing it with the adds up if this didn't happen.
If you have enuf dps to create this you should be able to kill her with the adds up anyhow.

The simple answer if you dont want this to happen is dont pull the last 3 pull until you can see her near the stairs.
